"While I have shopped at this Mariano's, this criticism is for the company itself. Why would a grocery retailer that emphasizes the quality of it's products feature such a low quality product as a feature item in major holiday ad circulars? I am referring to Cook's and Sugardale hams. They are pumped full of water, Cooks is 23%, Sugardale doesn't list the amount on their label, but it's can't be that far off from Cook's. Their meat department also used to carry CAB brand beef, the very best, most consistently marbled USDA choice graded beef, head and shoulders over the other meat packing plant companies in the US. Unfortunately the quality of Mariano's perimeter departments has noticeably diminished these past few years. I will no longer shop there."

"The folks who work behind the meat counter are knowledgeable and helpful. The rest of the store is miserable. Be ready to be insulted: They have TWO sets of self checkout blocks, but they keep only one open because the geniuses installed them at OPPOSITE ends and presumably dont have enough staff to oversee both. The line for self checkout was wrapped around the front of the store tonight. We are blessed to have a lot of choices for groceries close to this store. Save yourself the agony and shop at one of those."

"It's in walking distance for me, but this store has gone downhill ever since Kroger bought them out. Seems like many fewer employees, and definitely fewer brand selections. It was once really nice. Now it's just a mediocre grocery."

"Arguably the worst Mariano's in the area. ALWAYS stocking and blocking walkways. The "cafeteria" is always full of boxes and inventory. Flies in the donut case. Often out of produce, especially broccoli. Grumpy evening shift workers. I've been coming here for months and it's not improving."
