"I would never go to this location again in a million years. I went here the other day not as a customer but to compete an Uber delivery. I went to the back of the store and found the door for the deliveries but there was no phone number on the door to call to inform them that I was there. The door was braced open so I stuck my head instide to ask for help as to how to inform them that I was there. There was a sign saying employees only so I didn’t actually walk into the back room, just poked my heat in the door to ask for help. The department manager, and shame on you jewel for hiring some idiot woman who didn’t know how to behave, came up to the door and literally pushed me out of the doorway. I was standing on the outside of the door, because I wasn’t trying to go inside of the back area, even though they left the back door standing open so how secure was it supposed to be, really? Lock your door if security is such an issue, you morons. Anyway, this woman literally pushed the door next to me and pushed me out of the way. When I told her not to push me, she looked surprised and then tried to excuse her way out of it. She claimed that there was a big sign in the parking lot that gave the phone number to call. I asked where, and the attached picture shows the sign at the time. Which was located behind me, nowhere near the door, and on the opposite side of the building from where I had come around, which I tried to explain, so of course I wouldn’t see it. But anyway, it was covered in snow and couldn’t even be read at the time. This was one of the days when the temp outside was about 2 degrees. This woman, Amelia, is a disgrace. I simply wanted to do my own job and ask for some help. I don’t care how frustrated, busy, or whatever other excuse she may dream up she is, her behavior has no excuse."

"DO NOT EAT THE SOUP!! I was informed that a random guy was eating the soup with the spoon that’s in the soup pot and put it back!! Disgusting. Deli workers are aware but they were told by their store director Allan Anderson and their deli manager to not say nothing and to leave the soup out!! 1040 summit st needs better management"

"Worst deli ever. Maybe if Alex was more interested in helping customers instead of flirting with them (because they shared the same name) they would get a better review. 2 deli members made direct eye contact and then walked away and helped people who had walked up AFTER I had. I had to ask a 3rd employee for help and she was lovely. She mentioned she was helping from another store and it was obvious, she too good for this location."

"This Jewel Osco is the worst place to be. I Get harassed by every employee in there. They always stare at me and follow me around. 0/10 don't recommend. I'm not even joking, I put this on my life. I feel so awkward and uncomfortable being in there. I'm in the parking lot rn writing about what just happened."

"The employees never greet you or offer help. When I asked for help the employee seemed as if I bothered him. The customer service is TERRIBLE here! The employees stand around and talk to each other about what they did last night while customers are walking nearby and need help. In past reviews, from other customers, the store responded that they would discuss customer service issues with staff. Well, I guess that NEVER happened! Not just here, but many stores, the customer service is nonexistent! Stores have forgotten... WITHOUT THE CUSTOMER YOU HAVE NO BUSINESS! If you can't offer help to a customer, at least say hello! I walk through the whole store, seeing many employees, and not one says hello or offers help. The customer is the reason why you have a job!!! And I don't want a response from you, Jewel. A response without action is a lie!! Respond with change... change for the better!! It's called customer service!!!! Of course, you responded back! But you've responded to many other complaints and still no improvement! Customer service has been bad for YEARS! Not just at Jewel but many other stores. Like I said, stop saying it's unacceptable and you're addressing the issue and yet nothing is done! It starts with corporate and moves on down to management, and the employees are the way the mgr. allows them to be. I worked retail for years so I know what I'm talking about. People call corporate and still nothing is done. Corporate....mgr... down to employee. It's all bad! I could care less about your false reply. Change the problem of bad customer service!!!"
