"As a foodie and a snob for the finer foods I’ve traveled a lot in the name of culinary excellence. Without exaggeration, this is in the top three restaurants I’ve ever eaten at. The simple menu has just been perfected. Crab cakes, a dozen raw oysters, roasted chicken (the absolute best), and crème brûlée. This establishment has set the bar for fine dining in St Louis."

"Daisy was the perfect waitperson. Congenial, knowledgeable, charming, efficient, helpful, considerate. The crab cake was as good as its hype. The warm sourdough bread with decadent butter was a nice complimentary touch. French dip was tender and awesome and the spinach side was amazing for spinach!. Cocktails were delicious as well. Cozy and atmospheric."

"Wrights is worth the hype. It’s a small but intimate place perfect for a special occasion or date night dinner. Drinks were delicious - get the martini with sidecar. The crab cake is huge and the best we’ve ever had! Better than Joes stone crab! The steak was good but not amazing. Very straightforward. I got the fish which was delicious and beautiful. Next time I’d spend less money and try the dip or burger. Sides were plentiful and typical steak house portion size (re: huge!). Despite being stuffed we somehow managed dessert - a delicious creme brûlée. Really everything here is superb and worth the price tag."

"Absolutely delightful! I feel lucky to have snagged a couple reservations at Wright’s and each time I’ve left feeling such joy over how good the meal was. I don’t think there is a bad item on the menu!"

"I’ve been trying for months to get into Wright’s and finally got in when I set an alert last week for a last minute reservation. From the moment you walk you can smell the wonderful food aromas. The restaurant is not very big, about 35-40 seats. We started with cocktails, I got the pink lady and my husband got an old fashioned. Both extremely delicious and well crafted. They served hot sourdough bread with a butter and olive oil spread… it was amazing! We ordered a crab cake for an appetizer and it was the largest, most meaty crab cake we’ve ever had! Sauce was flavorful as well! For our entrees we got the roasted chicken and halibut. My halibut was cooked perfectly with a nice crisp potato crust. My husband ordered the roasted chicken and I’m going to say it was seriously the best chicken we may have ever had! How it was so juicy on the inside and so crisp on the outside. He also really enjoyed the spinach that came with it. All the food came out piping hot… you see it come off the cook line to the heat lamp and it’s on your table in about 10 seconds. The restaurant is a gem! I can only hope we can get in again soon!"
