"This has undoubtedly been the most disappointing encounter I've ever had with a business. Several months ago, my husband and I were seeking better insurance options, and we believed Farmers Insurance would be the solution. My husband was in communication with a 'producer,' as they're referred to through text message. Although we were initially impressed with the quote, he refrained from signing the legally binding contract that would authorize the commencement of our new policy. Despite this, Farmers went ahead and initiated the policy without our explicit consent. The ensuing ordeal to rectify this has been nothing short of a nightmare. I personally spoke with Mark and Linda, with Linda proving to be particularly challenging to deal with. Despite boasting about her extensive years of experience in her role, she failed to return my calls or provide any documentation pertaining to the policy in question. It became apparent that their reluctance to furnish such documentation was due to the absence of a binding contract. Moreover, when I sought clarification regarding the potential refund, her response was disappointingly dismissive: 'I don't know what to tell you.' I am appalled by the business practices at this particular Farmers Insurance location. Opening policies without a binding contract is unacceptable. I strongly caution anyone considering a switch to Farmers Insurance to steer clear of this branch. The abysmal customer service and apparent disregard for clients' concerns are indicative of a company more interested in extracting money than providing genuine assistance."

"I was a first time homebuyer, and I have no clue about how the insurance works and details. Mainly difference between replacement, actual cost value and also scheduled roof payment. Now I got a hail damage and when they process the claim they ended up telling me it’s a scheduled roof payment on your insurance policy And there will be a depreciation on my roof and property. I feel like you guys should do a better job in explaining To customers what all the policy includes when we sign up for it. Now, I might end Paying more than deductible."

"Edit: Just found out that I'm now responsible for a bill that my mortgage doesn't want to pay, because of Mark's business mistakes. I'm already going through a divorce, in debt, and trying my best to keep a roof over my daughters heads. So now not only did my premium go up (which they didn't even try to get lowered until I complained about it), but I'm expected to pay this out of pocket. These people don't seem to care at all about putting your loved ones in an even worse position than they're already in. I'm 38, and coming to this place has been my worse experience with any business I've dealt with. Plenty other agencies up and down Fry rd, go to one of those instead. Switched here a few months ago after being at one in Conroe for 3 years, and have already had more problems than previous place. Seem like decent people. They just don't seem to have that "customer satisfaction" mentality I've found everywhere else, and have no problem making you pay for their mistakes. Alright group. Stuck with them for now, so hopefully nothing else comes up."

"Easy, friendly, money-saving experience. I recommend getting a quote from the Mark Hudson agency. They completed the majority through text and finalized through email while I was at work."

"Pretty baffling, and I hate to be the person to leave a negative review but such is sometimes necessary. I was referred to Mark Hudsons agency through a mutual contact in Eugene, OR. Mark Hudson had relocated to Texas sometime after college, and therefore was a viable contact for my needs. When I reached out, I spoke with Tyler Lunsford at which point all the problems started. I am not sure why other reviewers liked this guy, but several things occurred that made me stop speaking with this agency all together: 1. Upon initial contact, I spoke with Tyler and he was asking questions. I would begin to answer the question at hand in detail, and in the middle of my response I was interrupted several times making the entire conversation extremely awkward. At the beginning of my career, I worked in call centers for several years speaking with 35-45 people a day without issue. I would like to think that I do not have a poor understanding of conversation flow over the phone so I am not sure why this happened. 2. In the middle of the process of receiving quotes, I was receiving quotes from Mark's agency as well as another agency that will not be named in Dallas (both Farmers) . This was due to the wife signing up for a random insurance quote generation website where an agent reached out. I was unaware she had signed up for this service at the time of contacting Mark's agency. The competing agent came back with a quote close to $100 annually less than Mark's agency. When I simply inquired as to why this was the case, Tyler investigated and came to the conclusion that "he had no idea" what caused the price difference, and promptly proceeded to continue our interaction as if the price discrepancy was unimportant. No? Why would I pay more for the same coverage if you can't figure out why there's a price difference? After a very short amount of time reviewing both quotes (I actually sent the competing quote to him for further review/investigation), I figured out what the difference was on my own. At this point I wasn't so sure about the entire interaction so I did not disclose that I had figured out the difference. 3. Straw that broke the camels back: I requested an updated quote for primary residence home owners policy, excluding the auto bundle discount. It took a day and a half to receive the quote which was annoying in itself (especially since it was a Friday, and I am trying to get this all settled and move on with my life). When we rolled over to Monday the quote was sent. But there is one massively glaring issue here: The quote had been altered without my explicit request, and not double checked before sending. Why is that a big deal you might ask? Well, when you live in a state like Texas with regular extreme weather, and the coverage is changed without your knowledge before being submitted and finalized, it can mean the difference between the payout for a claim not being worth bothering to submit, and a lifeline. Let me explain the specifics: there are two types of roof coverage (and sometimes fence, external structures etc etc). There are two types of coverage in this category one is scheduled roof payment (garbage coverage, basically will only cover depreciated value if said roof/structure is damaged 5, 10, 15 years etc). The second option is replacement cost which is absolutely necessary in Texas, let alone with climate change and covers the entirety of the replacement if necessary but costs a marginal additional annual fee. What occurred in this case, is Tyler sent me an initial quote with replacement cost coverage. When I requested the auto insurance bundling be removed, the next quote had completely changed to scheduled payment coverage. This is unacceptable! I cant imagine if I went to file a claim on my 10 year old roof next year after a big hailstorm, and ended up receiving pennies for the payout due to this mistake. Long, long story made slightly shorter I went with the other agency. I'm not willing to risk my personal finances with this level of indifference to protect the clients."
