"I am a fan of historic small towns. Glen Rose did not disappoint. I am happy to see so many buildings were preserved. They include clothing shops, a candy/soda shop, and a nice visitor center. The entite downtown can be walked within minutes but it's worth stopping in the shops. A few have themed dinosaurs set up outside."

"Very cute place to take fall pictures! There is a pumpkin festival going on where you can buy pumpkins and paint pumpkins or skulls."

"I am sure there are many perks to this place, and the cowboy/pioneer statue was neat...but The Square, itself, didn't have much going for it. Heritage Park behind it is nice. I am sure there is more to it than at 10:30am....but everything is closed at that time? I hear they have a good pie shop. I gave it 3 stars because it looks like there were more positives than our experience, but casual walking and viewing, there wasn't really much to see. Glen Rose, as a town is nice, though. This just isn't one of the high points. Visit the Historic Granbury Square not too far away. Nice dining, shops, and entertainment. It won't disappoint. The Methodist Church close by looks nice from the exterior. It was closed when we went. This place really needs better hours...especially if it is supposed to be a vibrant side of town."

"Nice historic downtown building, well kept and maintained. Beautiful architecture and nice statues sit on the lawn around the building for the public and tourists to view. Lots of history in this building and plenty of shade trees and places to sit and admire the scenery. I enjoyed my time there checking out the town square."
