"We held a Beautiful Military Service for a Fallen Veteran, Guadalupe (Lupe) Leal Jr. He was a Distinguished Marine who followed in his father's footsteps who was also a Marine, Guadalupe Leal Sr. Mr. Leal proudly served his country with Honor and Pride. Lupe was a 1978 McAllen High Graduate and was friends with my Uncle Arturo Arcaute Jr in high school. As Saint Augustus once said, "A life worth living, is a life worth remembering.""

"Staff are not maintaining cemetery grounds. Grass is overgrown in some places. Families cleaning plots on their own."

"Peaceful except for when the planes fly over but it's well-kept. It's small too so it shouldn't be overwhelming to find anyone. It's also a historical place so it's a nice visit even when you're not looking for a particular grave."
