"My 17 year old granddaughter wanted to learn to throw pots on the wheel and so did I. We left messages with two studios that advertised wheel classes and never got a callback. We found Happily Handmade in Oregon,IL and messaged the owner, Tonya. Wow! She got right back to us and we got set up for a class. She started with basics and after several lessons we both walked out of her studio with several pots and a whole lot of confidence. We bought monthly studio time and continued to return to improve our technique and Tonya was always there to assist and answer our questions. We encourage anyone who has ever thought about trying any artistic endeavors to contact Tonya at Happily Handmade and enquirer about a class or private lesson. She has a host of artists working in her studio that are always willing to share their experiences. We enjoyed this so much that we built a studio with a wheel in our workshop. We don’t have a kiln but Tonya will fire for a reasonable fee. Well done Happily Handmade!"
