"I am a physician dermatologist in the Katy area as well. I ocassionally get patients who have seen other practices and I have to say that I genuinely breath a sigh of relief when I hear any of these doctor's names from Katy Dermatology (Czelusta, Uptmore, Carter, Zahiruddin or Hickman). I know that the patients have had high quality and ethical care thus far and I can trust previous work-ups and treatment plans. This is a physician only practice and every single one of them are board-certified in dermatology so every patient walking through the door is getting true expert care. I often tell the patient their treatment thus far is exactly the same as what I would or will do. I actually look up to them as an older and more established practice in the area doing this many more years than myself and doing it with an unwavering commitment to quality patient care. I would 100% percent without reservation refer any patient, family member, or friend to this practice if they are lucky enough to land a spot on their busy schedule."

"Trying to pay a bill was WAY more difficult than it should have been. love the doctor but a 15 minute phone call- most of which was spent on hold-to make a payment was frustrating. Not a fan of being told by the staff “that’s not my job” and “we’re short staffed” only adds to the frustration."

"I was a new patient with dr Hickman and I was told next available was going to be in January 2024 and I told the nice young lady ( lenise ) that I was diagnosed with with skin cancer and I was referred by memorial Hermann and she was able to get me in sooner than January. Dr Hickman is a sweetheart and very professional."

"I recommend checking your insurance explanation of benefits after a visit. I told the office staff I was very certain I had already met my deductible for the year but they still charged me $224. I finally called the office after a while to tell them my EOB indicates I have a credit. The woman agreed with me and said I could wait 45 days for a check to be processed. I have to wonder if they ever would have called me to tell me of my credit. My other issue is that Dr. Carter didn’t check my scalp for possible problems areas even though she found a spot on the bottom of my foot to be concerning enough to biopsy. I was too worried about my foot to realize she didn’t check my scalp. I know mistakes happen but this is still her job and I’d hate for a melanoma to be missed. The best part of this office is they let you do paperwork in the exam room. I love this so much."

"Dr. Carter is great, rest of staff is rude. Every single time I need to pick up prescription there is an issue that forces me to drive and call back and forth from Katy dermatology and Walgreens. Always Katy Dermatology’s fault super tired of the lazy front desk nurses who by the way don’t realize the sliding window isn’t sound proof and everyone in the waiting room can hear how much trash they talk about patients lol. Super immature and unprofessional"
