"Dr.peteles is really nice no hate to him but the staff in the front register are so awful and started arguing with me over a form and told me “ if we do not get that formal through fax today right now we do not get money” like wow your just working here for the money."

"I'm really unhappy with this office. I have excellent insurance that covers everything 100% after a $300 deductible -- it was not an insurance blip that made them refuse me. This office refuses to see patients before 8 weeks, regardless of the fact that I explained to the receptionist that I was being remotely monitored by the Pope Paul VI institute for low progesterone, and on the injections and the NaPro nurses suggested that I see my OB for an ultrasound. I had been having intense right side pain. The receptionist was cold and uncaring and still scheduled my first prenatal appointment for 2 days shy of 11 weeks. I ended up having to pay for a lot of things out of pocket along the way, not towards my deductible to essentially care for myself the entire pregnancy. I had to visit an urgent care for the pain to check for ectopic, only to miscarry my baby at 10 weeks in a random emergency room and have a random OB do my d&c. I called this office ahead of time to let them know about my loss and when I showed up the receptionist still asked me if I was there for pregnancy. Then, after waiting 3 hours to see the doctor they asked me if I just wanted to go home *without seeing the doctor* since I already had the d&c anyway. I am appalled. I miss Anna and Simone and Dr. Lee. This office is terrible. Terrible terrible terrible. I like Dr. Guardia and I was grateful Dr. Morales spoke to me on the on-call line the night I miscarried or I may have passed out from blood loss. The rest of the staff is awful. I have never been refused an appointment with my care provider before now. Ever. This was my fourth pregnancy and worst experience. I am an established patient here, as I got caught in the buyout from New Life ObGyn. Dr. Pettle delivered my third baby at McAllen Medical in September 2018. Even the urgent care was confused as to why an OB's office would refuse to see an established patient in pain. If you even suspect possible ectopic pregnancy find an office that cares about its patients. Don't go here."

"I was sure to come in 30 minutes before my scheduled appointment considering I was a new patient. I was not seen until 30 minutes after my scheduled time and when I was taken in for vitals it was very rushed and seemed like they could care less about my visit. I was then promoted to use a paper cover instead of a gown, to which I am used to. I had to ask the nurse how to use it because she rushed through the instructions as if I’ve been there a hundred times before. Keep in mind, this is my very first time here and only second gyno visit in my life. I then sat there naked only having this uncomfortable paper on my body in the cold for almost 40 minutes before the doctor actually came in.. When the doctor finally came in, she was very nonchalant as if I did not matter. I felt very uncomfortable with her because she didn’t tell me what she was going to be doing or why she was doing it. I had to google later after the appointment what she meant by everything. She rushed the entire appointment and didn’t seem to care about my concerns or needs. Unfortunately I am going to have to go to another doctor because of how uncomfortable I felt with her and her team. I feel as though my doctor should listen to my concerns, not cut me off when I’m speaking and genuinely care for me. Not rush in and out without explaining anything she was doing to MY body. I understand you do this everyday all day, but not every patient is the same. I expect so much more. No patient should feel the way I do after leaving an appointment...don’t recommend at all."
