"The nachos are incredible and so are their bowls. I got both. I can eat a lot and they really give you very generous portions which I couldn't finish and saving for leftovers later. Extremely friendly as well. I'm very picky and like to do my own BBQ smoking. Their setup and food goes beyond what I could ever do. Very, very tender brisket with explosive flavor. Their BBQ sauce extremely compliments their smoky flavors. I give them an 11 out of 10 if I could."
"My go to when I want BBQ , after discovering Up in Smoke BBQ I only go there for my BBQ fix. I really enjoyed the brisket expertly seasoned with the wood smoker flavor and juicy meat, get the sauce on or on the side simply delicious. I recommend getting the meat sweat platter, it comes with brisket, pulled pork and his delicious ribs plus two sides. It a great deal and you get the full experience all at once! Staff and atmosphere are wonderful place to enjoy yourself, while you are there get a cocktail or try some of the in house craft beers. Up in Smoke gets 5 out 5 stars P. S. Save some room for the wonderful dessert selections!"
"This place is a must. We were seeing a concert at the Genesee Theater in Waukegan (amazing venue BTW) and I had not planned what to do for food after the show. Problem solved when I discovered this gem. Up in Smoke Creations is located one block west of the Genesee Theater. There is a cool bar on the corner and the BBQ is sold inside. They have the coolest smoker cooking all the food directly outside the bar (which has cool music and a chill vibe). Anyway, this is about the food. Amazing BBQ. Everything we got was awesome. You don’t know good BBQ until you finally get it, and this is the spot. Their sauces rock as well as these awesome bbq bowls and the different nacho options. The meat was sooooo tender! They also offer insanely delicious homemade desserts that capped off our night perfectly. Do yourself a favor and just go. FYI - we hear they do sell out often, so get there early or order for carry out as well."
