"Fry the Coop has the best fried chicken sandwiches I've ever had. They're always nice and juicy with great flavor. Just know that they aren't joking around when it comes to the spiciness levels. I like a little heat, and mild is great for me. The step up to medium is a little to hot for me. The seasoned fries are also excellent, and I love that they use beef fat for frying everything!"
"This place is hidden and can be hard to reach but it is so worth it. The menu is on the pricier side with drinks cost an extra $4 as they’re not included in your meal but the food makes up for it. I suggest getting their house lemonade, it’s very refreshing! I ordered the chicken tender plate to go and even though they were busy my order came out within 10 minutes. When you order you get your choice of sauce and the cup they service the house sauce in is really small so if you’re a sauce person then I suggest you add an extra cup. The place looks small but the atmosphere is great and the woman managing the register is very kind. I feel as if the price is definitely made up for by how quick your food is prepared, the quality of the food, and the employees are great! I’m glad I checked this place out and I will be returning."
"I have eaten at the Elmhurst Fry the Coop probably 40-50 times since they opened and have not had one bad plate of food. I eat mild tenders here and the chicken & waffles. The mild seasoning is a tad uncommon but very tasty. The fries are edible, and most of the staff has been friendly. These guys even lowered prices sometime in 2023 following the pandemic-related temporary spike in some chicken costs. This is the most consistent and reasonably priced fast casual in the area, bar none."
"A deep fried chicken lover’s dream. Pros: big portions, well cooked chicken, tasty flavors, friendly staff Cons: no blue cheese? Come on. And the ranch was prepackaged mediocrity. Giving it a 5 star rating because I really still liked it and will go back."
