"First time here. Server Emilia was very sweet and extremely personable which really saved the experience. To start we were brought to a dirty table which was quickly cleaned but we should not have been sat before it was reset. We ordered a pitcher of sangria but were told there weren’t enough pitchers and the only available pitcher was being used…so we had to pay by the glass, one would think if it was a restaurant issue they’d find a way to work this out and provide the pitcher rate but pour by glass. We needed to request items more than once from our server even one time ended up flagging down another server to get our waters. Our appetizers came out very late in comparison to when we ordered them. Now listen I’d still come back here cause the food and drinks were great, every employee we encountered was friendly and responsive. Just a few things that could improve."
"Attended Palatine's The Great Chili Cook-off and have to say it was a blast. Eleven restaurants looking for 2024's Best Chili and Most Unique bragging rights. The Tap House Grill definitely prepared for the event with tables set off for service, judging as well as a full bar with plenty of tap beers. The Half Day Frozen Tundra on Tap was my favorite draft paired with cups of Chilis from the town's finest restaurants. The service was stellar, band entertaining and space well planned. Definitely looking forward to our return as we're eyeing the Mac N Cheese, Brisket sandwich, Wings and of course the Tap House Grill's lager chili."
"Definitely aimed at a younger crowd. Spacious. Loud music. Kitchen open until 10:00. Marinated chicken tacos were much better when our waiter brought out green salsa. House salad is a good value. Go with the house made blue cheese dressing. Fries are seasoned. Tasty! They do not have sweet potato fries on the menu."
"Solid food choices, big tap list. Good service. TV’s seemed unnecessarily loud though."
"Stopped in for a quick app and cocktail after work. Had the old fashion and cheese curds. The curds were very good. But the old fashion was just okay 5/10. The restaurant was super spacious and big. The bartender was great and made sure I was well attended too. Would try a different next time."
