"I have been a long-time customer at Dave’s BBQ, but the closest location to me shut down, so I have been visiting the Naperville branch. I've noticed that the quality of the ribs has been inconsistent. They are always overcooked, as if they've been sitting in an oven or crock pot for too long. However, there was one occasion when the ribs were absolutely perfect and delicious, I went back the next day and AGAIN overcooked! This inconsistency has left me frustrated and feeling like I'm wasting my money. I really want the quality of the ribs to match the Famous Dave’s brand but it seems like this Naperville location just isn't delivering on that promise."
"I was driving from 2 hrs away and wanted to bring my mom Famous Dave's. I called and asked if they were open. The employee answered yes. I get there, paying tolls along the way, only to be told they weren't serving Famous Dave's until 4pm because of their Mother's Day brunch special."
"I was excited to go because I enjoy going to the Famous Dave's by me. However the food here was just not up to the standard I'm used to. The brisket tastes like it came from a can. The ribs had very little meat on the and were way over cooked. The corn tasted like pyre water with zero flavor. The only real good thing about the meal was the corn bread. The place felt very dirty and not up to par like others I've gone to in the past."
"Wanted a pulled chicken sandwich. So, we placed an order online. We ordered some food, two pulled chicken sandwiches no cheese due to lactose intolerance and a burger. We were unpleasantly surprised to find melted cheese on both pulled chicken sandwiches once we return home. I called the restaurant, spoke with a young lady who stated “the manager was busy, but would call me back.” Well 72 hours later we never received a call. It’s for that reason we won’t return. We all make mistakes, but poor customer service is not acceptable. Just a waste of money."
