"We went there for the Monday oysters. They were fabulous, cold, sweet, and clean tasting. Our server. Josephine, was a nice as could be. Very attentive and apologetic with the bar being slow. Not a problem as we were their at the start of dinner time. Beers were cold and went well with the oysters. The food, Jambalaya, Coconut Shrimp and Blue Crab Beignets were great! Great place! ."

"I’m not from the area, but this restaurant is on my list of places to always visit when I’m around. I’ve also had the pleasure of being there for the last two years on Mardi Gras. Obviously the wait for a table on Mardi Gras is a lot longer than normal, but the atmosphere makes it worthwhile and fun. The bar area is hoping. The food is outstanding - gumbo, jambalaya and all the Cajun favorites. We also tried the steak skewers this time and they were crazy good. The servers are great and very friendly. Check out this restaurant, I don’t think you’ll be disappointed!"

"UPDATE 2: Surcharges and quantity of Alligator meat on PoBoy sandwich as compared to Fillet Mignon PoBoy are bit annoying - still not enough to clearly deter us from coming back to this place as many times as we have... UPDATE: Visited few more times now since original post below. Ambience, food, and service here are always amazing. Great to have this type of cuisine available in our town. Only odd thing that I find a bit annoying is upcharge of 50 to 75 cents for sauce when you're paying around 20 for a dish...nothing consequential but just odd approach. Irrespective of that, one of our favorite places that we recommend to everyone visiting Plainfield area. Even on a busy Friday night, their staff was very patient and friendly with a first time customer. Ordered fried catfish with sweet potato fries and fried okra. I only wish I could have enjoyed it there as take-out boxes made food very soggy but taste was great. Definitely will be back to try in person next time!"

"Been a while since been here. I got crawfish poboy with chips and fried green tomatoes. Everything tasted good. Including the sauce on the side. Great for dipping. I highly recommend."

"My daughter and I came here to eat a late lunch after the "Sweet Stroll." The vibe and decor was awesome! The food was so delicious as well! Before we got our food we were served some cornbread with some kind of sweet cinnamon butter and together they were AMAZING!! The cornbread was still warm and it was just so good. My daughter dared to venture outside of the norm and tried the fried gator tail. We both agreed that it was so, so good and she said she found her new favorite dish! I had the jerk chicken and it tasted really good too! Our waiter was really patient with us and laid back, he didn't pressure or rush us in any way. We will definitely be going back to try out more things! Thanks for a great time!"
