"I'm a person that loves sushi and I've eaten at a lot of sushi restaurants in this area. I will tell you this place is by far the best! My best girlfriend and I eat here at least once a month if not more! We always sit at the bar which a great vibe. Ivan, who is the one and only bartender I've ever seen is an out of this world mixologist. He knows his whiskey and makes his own! Amazing. All of the syrups are made from scratch with fresh ingredients also done by Ivan. He's a pleasure to talk with and makes great recommendations with pure honesty. The atmosphere here is sexy, casual, classy and fun. Come dressed up for date night or casual for a quick bite. Don't let the strip mall fool you, once you come in you're instantly taken away and forget you're even in Vernon Hills! On to the food. Now I've never, ever had a fishy roll! Which for me is extremely important. The rolls are fresh, the ingredients are fresh, sizes are great, price point is on point! The sea bass is delicious and come in full or half size! Do I need to go on? Just go and enjoy! ;)"
"Everyone is soooo nice & the ambience of the restaurant is amazing for allll ages. once you try their fried rice. You wont ever want another. The mangotinis are top notch, chefs kiss(owner please their hands) compliments to the chef, bartender, waitress, & busboys Jessicaaaa is amazing!! Thank you for remembering us!! We will be back."
"Good sushi overall with a lot of variety, tends to include more cooked ingredients (e.g. tempura) for less 'daring' sushi fans. They do have some somewhat rare items such as many different tobiko items and okonomoyaki (awesome street dish which I haven't seen elsewhere in Chicago). Great atmosphere. However, on the expensive side and there are places that service the more 'raw' fans better in the area."
"The decorations were beautiful. It felt like fine dining. It was very clean, especially the bathroom. The service was great. The waiters were nice and understanding, checking in on us frequently. Our waiter cracked some jokes here and there. the food was presented were and the fish was fresh. There was so many options to choose from. I really liked how they had options for short/long rolls or half/full entrees. i definitely would recommend Blufish! Its amazing, especially at night"
