"The Cracker Barrel located in Marion, IL has to be one of the best locations we’ve been to in a long time. The food was hot, tasted great and the service was more than excellent. Shout out to our waiter, Trevor, who made the visit worthwhile and pleasant. He wasn’t just this way with us; he treated all of his customers the same way. So refreshing to see. Definitely what I’d want representing me if I were Cracker Barrel!"

"We recently tried the Marion Cracker Barrel. We typically enjoy Cracker Barrel and have eaten at a multitude of them over the years. We ordered pickup due to not wanting to go out. Food was fairly fresh. Unfortunately, the chicken we ordered was pink and undercooked. We did call and advised a manager. Options were to return to pick up the chicken while the rest of my family ate or keep the undercooked chicken and get it next time we order. We shall see if we return to this specific location"

"I always enjoy looking at their country store. They have cool toys for kids and nice candy treats. We enjoyed a nice lunch. The waitress was very patient with my kids ordering and being indecisive. The kids had steak and fries. I had eggs, grits, and hashbrowns. The food was delicious, and the environment was friendly."

"We live near this Cracker Barrel store and have for nearly 3 years and they’ve been the most consistently bad Cracker Barrel store I’ve eaten at in nearly 25 years of eating at their stores in various locations we’ve lived and while traveling. They’ve had numerous changes in management in the past 3 years — I know because I’ve met 3-4 different ones — and they’ve yet to improve except the occasional burst of adequacy. Typically, the problems we have are with the wait staff who put the orders together. They’ll commonly leave things out, package things together in ways that shouldn’t be packaged together, or not contact you when it turns out that they’re out of something and just let you show up and figure out how to change your order when it should all be ready and waiting for you. This last occasion was a Friday night and we both got the coastal sampler. We got there about 3 minutes before it was supposed to be ready and still waited about 20 minutes for them to get it ready for us. We thought, “at least it’ll all be hot.” WRONG! We got it home and it was room temperature. Not really warm but not like it had been in a refrigerator or anything like that. All of it. To top it off, one of the orders of fish was all broken into bits and looked like it had been dropped or thrown against a wall so that it was in literal pieces. We put everything in the air fryer for 6 minutes to get it to an acceptable temp just to eat it. If it takes that long to heat it to a basically edible and that’s ridiculous."

"Normally we have a fantastic experience at cracker barrel. Normally the food is quite delicious in the service is great. This experience this time was disappointing to say the least. They had a limited menu. We went to the day before thanksgiving. Hoping to have a Thanksgiving dinner out. Couldn't order what we wanted due to limited menu items. The wife's chicken and dumplings was very dry and chewy. Mashed potatoes and gravy was nonexistent. Told the waitress , she shrugged it off. I ended up having a side salad. Because there was nothing on the limited menu I could eat. I had gone for the Cajun fish. Which was not on the menu. Cashier was very pleasant and asked if we had a good experience. We told her if our disappointment. Management gave us $5 off my wife's meal. On the plus side the sweet tea was delicious as always. It disappoints me to give a negative review. Being this is the only place we eat out."
