Welcome to Kettelhut's Smokehouse, a family-owned establishment located at 1267 North Truman Boulevard in Crystal City, Missouri. "Quick late evening stop on a road trip. Was in the mood for steak & salad so this was a perfect find! Servers and young hosts were all hustling-no slackers here which obviously spilled over to the kitchen staff! Chef put out a perfect ribeye special that we shared along with a very generous dinner salad. Extra plates were brought without us having to ask. All around A+ - thank you for making our long day of driving worth the stop!!!"
"My husband and I have been to this establishment several times. We have tried to over look the manager/owner whoever she is, every time that we have been in there she has had an attitude, even when she is not our server. Today was it.. We went to have Rib-eyes which was their “special”. The server was fantastic, the steaks were nothing but fat and full of gristle, also they had a strange taste. The server asked if I wanted to talk to the manager, at $26.00 a piece, you bet I do. She begins to tell me how the meat was cut, marinated, takes both of our plates away with the rest of our food still on there and said she would take both of them off the bill. Well, she didn’t she only took one and we didn’t get the rest of the food we paid for. I don’t know what her problem is, but she has no business working with the public. We know a lot of people that go in there, and I just talked to a few that said they are done going there also."
"The potato salad was fresh, chunky, and some of the best I’ve ever had. It had celery and eggs…..so good. Great flavor. The shredded brisket and pork on the buffet we went to were both amazing. So tender and tasty. Coleslaw was a great side dish too. Impressed with the catered food we had tonight. We went to the restaurant about 3 years ago and were disappointed at that time. Our recent experience at a catered event by this restaurant did not disappoint. Nice going Kettelhuts!!!"

"Food was delicious. Service was fast and friendly. I highly recommend the pulled pork sandwich and or the beef brisket sandwich. Loaded french fries, cole slaw, fried okra were all delicious. This was our first visit. Haven't tried anything else yet. But will be updating post, as I try the different Items on the menu."
