Applebee's Grill + Bar

"We haven't been to an Applebee's in years and decided to visit the one in Waterloo. We were promptly greeted and taken to our table. It was a busy Saturday night and the staff were smiling as they moved about the restaurant. We selected the 2 for $25 special and were very happy with our choices. The "side" salads were full sized dinner salads, and our meals arrived sizzling on platters with cast iron skillets. Our waitress was checking on us frequently and we had a great date night. Thank you! We will be back."

"We have used curbside pickup several times with large orders at the Waterloo IL. location. They do a terrific job and have great service! So far they have always done it right. Thank you Samantha C for your great service on such a fridge day!"

"Staff are very nice and I'm sure we'll meaning. That being said, the service is absolutely awful. They don't seem to be well trained and I didn't see any kind of management support. 20 minutes to get a drink. My wife asked for mayo for her sandwich, took 30 minutes. A second drink you shouldn't even bother ordering cause you probably won't get it. We're very understanding people but will not be returning. I don't blame the staff, I blame management."

"We ordered some chips and salsa for an appetizer while we waited for our food. We finished the chips and almost all of the salsa (which wasn't great, basically a canned salsa product), and our server asked if we would like more chips and we said yes, please. When we asked for more salsa since we had another full plate of chips, we were told that they would have to charge us for the salsa. My wife and I found this to be very strange. They're a little on the stingy side with the fries too. We typically don't complain, we just don't come back."

"I went here with 4 friends to do the unlimited wing challenge. We didn’t have a wait time and got seated immediately. We order the wings with no problem. But once we got to our 4th plate our stomachs started to act up but we could still eat more. So 3 of us go to the bathroom. When we get back we have the manger come to our table claiming we were throwing up and causing a scene so they have to kick us out(btw we spent 80 bucks on our meal). We thought this was absolutely outrageous but they did let us get a to go box. We tipped the waitress good because she was nice and didn’t have any problems. So we get in the car and one of my friends goes to check the wings and he finds 2 hairs in the food (I only took a picture of one). I believe this was my first time going to Applebees and it will certainly be the last."
