Applebee's Grill + Bar

"We received a gift Card for Christmas. My family of three went to Applebee's for dinner. 2 of the 3 meals were lack luster, no real flavor and they did not eat their meals. I ate mine it wasn't gross but if I ever eat there again I won't order it again. HOWEVER.... the waitress we had, Shawna U was the best waitress I have had in probably 6 months. If I were ever to eat at Applebee's again it would only be because this lady was super friendly and worked her butt off in a society were no one seems to want to work. It would have been nice though when she saw there were 2 meals basically untouch if she had offered a way to fix the issue."

"They sat us by the door at 10°f outside even tho they had other tables available. Brrrrr! Waitress was friendly enough, food was out fast, appetizers were great. Drinks were good. Coffee was old, had been sitting.maybe from morning?. I ordered my steak medium well and it came out still moo-ing. I was so hungry I tore into it, the outside was properly cooked, 3 bites into an 8 0z. but the inside was raw! I asked the waitress to put it back on the grill and she brought it back overcooked and hard. After everyone else had finished there meal. I didn't even eat it!! I left with a tummy ache 2 trips to the ladies room before I left and another trip at home. Ticket was 130$ for 3 meals. My dinner company was GREAT so made it worth it . Everyone else's food was good, no complaints from them. Atmosphere is what wins the day. Unless they sit you by the door when it's freezing out UPDATE: My dinner guest also complained of a tummy ache when we spoke the next day. Get it together! Clean your grill. Change your fryer oil. Cook a steak properly or take it off the menu and clean the restrooms. Nobody wants to pay that much for dinner and go home ill. :/ with sub par service"

"We hadn't been to Applebee's in a while because the last time we were there we were really disappointed in the food not this time The food was delicious the black and salmon was chef's kiss the waitress and for the love of God I cannot remember her name but she was so nice I think it was Ashley I'm not sure but I know she had a 2-year-old and it was going to be his birthday so I do remember that but the food was really good it was hot it was fresh service was excellent restaurant was clean I mean it's the fanciest restaurant in Alton so I don't know what else to tell you. And when I say the fanciest in Alton I mean it's fancy for the price are there other restaurants that are more expensive Yes do I feel like going to get a prom dress to go there no."

"Should of known better to not go at 834pm. Took 20 min for a water. I was NOT happy, I watched people get drinks after us. Made my soul unhappy.. never again"
