"Charges a debit card fee :-( Two Rules That Prohibit Debit Card Surcharges There are two sets of rules and regulations that prohibit surcharging when the customer pays by debit card (or a prepaid card). First of all, credit card brands such as Visa and MasterCard do not allow it, so debit card surcharges will violate the contract the merchant has with those companies. That can result in fines, and if the breach of contract continues or is serious enough the merchant risks losing the ability to accept those credit cards. The other restriction is because surcharging on debit card purchases is illegal under federal law. This law was part of the larger package of financial reform regulations called the Durbin Amendment, which was passed in the wake of the Great Recession."
"Terrific hidden gem in Alton. We popped in for breakfast on a Saturday morning after getting some lab work done at Quest just up the street. The service was basically immediate, the menu had a lot of offerings (Including plenty that were Weight Watchers friendly!), eggs and 2 sides were about $7, and the food was tasty. We will definitely be back."
"It was our first time there and when we walked in we've seen our favorite waitress my sister and I have worked with this girl Rhonda for off and on for last 30 years and she is fantastic with person great personality very friendly and we were so happy to see her I know we'll be back specially to have her wait on us and our trip was wonderful the food was excellent I got an omelet and biscuits and gravy my sister got the chicken tenders and a salad and the food was fantastic and we even took her order home for our mom and she loved it too"
"Was our 4th time there, and the service/food was just as amazing as our first time. Have yet to eat the same thing twice & it's all been so delicious. Can't wait to try the weekend breakfast buffet!"
"Service was AMAZING! The food was AMAZING! It was just like home. And we just had breakfast. The menu was well spread and plenty of variety for all day choices. The owner is just an absolute sweetheart and my waitress was also. I look forward to coming back and trying one of everything!"
