"Great for breakfast (served all day) or lunch. Food was tasty, plentiful, and pleasing to the eye. The service was prompt and pleasant. Great place for soup and sandwich, as well as about anything you can think of for breakfast. I had the Firehouse Burger. I asked for medium and it had no pink inside, but was still delicious. Several in our party had either the broccoli soup-of-the-day or the chicken noodle. Both souls were hearty with good flavor. The Fries were double fried with a delicious crunch and the onion rings were also good."
"We have not been here as often after 2020 as before 2020 when it was an every couple of months destination. Stopped in on the Friday evening between Christmas and New Years. I have always enjoyed the Friday fish offerings; it was about 7 and the restaurant was mostly empty. Concerned they were closing up and it would not be the same quality as in the past. Very attentive waitress / server, full menu available, and while they were cleaning for the day, it was not a distraction. The Walleye dinner was plentiful, very well prepared and tasty. My wife had the pot roast and was also pleased with it. Glad to see it was the same quality and friendliness. A nice treat as we drove 70 miles to enjoy the lights of Rotary Park in La Salle. Thanks for being what we expected!"
"Really cute place with fantastic service and food. The prices are reasonable, and the service was awesome. The cashier could be a little nicer, but our server Lexi was very kind."
"*Update* Came back and had a complete completely different service experience. Once we were sat, we never had a waitress come greet or take an order. I had to ask the bus boy to get me a waitress. There was also a table next to us and I noticed it took at least 15 min before they had to ask for one. The food however is good but not worth the extra wait from the service."
"Home cooked tasting meals. Food portions are huge and taste excellent. Staff was friendly and efficient. Hubby and I tried their country fried steak and pesto penne pasta. Highly recommend. We would definitely go back when we are in the area."
