"I now live in Texas, but while I was back home, I made it a point to patronize Fernandos! Partly because they decided to follow the Illinois mitigation measures and partly because for the excellent food and wonderful service! I visited the restaurant during the week after Easter and was promptly welcomed in and seated. My mom, uncle and aunt joined me. I decided to have the Chimichanga Especial Del Rancho and it was excellent. The chimichanga had the right amount of crispness, the rice was perfect and flavorful and the beans and salad were great, as well! My uncle had the Chile Verde and he was so pleased that he texted me a picture the next week to let me know he found a new favorite in Kewanee and was dining in again with my aunt. There are a lot of Tex-Mex choices in Kewanee, but I especially love Fernandos for the excellent hospitality and service and the must-try food!"
