"Great place to eat! Plenty of history, plenty of atmosphere and bottom line one of the best authentic pizza around! Deb took my order and made sure she took down the details, and made my visit extra personal! She chatted with my 12yr old and even explained the games they have at the restaurant. The 2 pizza's we ordered were equally tasty! We ordered a pepperoni and a combination pizza, both were loaded with plenty of ingredients! The combination had a layer of sausage that added that extra flavor that Italian Village pizza is known for! Overall- fantastic"

"We having been coming to this restaurant for many years. Whoever owns in now has ran it into the ground. Ordered a half ham half mushroom pizza tonight. Got there to get pizza and it wasn’t ready. The lady running the place went to get it out of the oven. As I was standing there waiting for my pizza I watched her start pulling pepperoni off the pizza with her bare hands. And one of the employees started assisting her with paper towels to soak up the grease. This went on for about a total of 7 minutes. A gentleman walked up and told me my pizza was still browning. I watched the lady continue to pull stuff off the top of the pizza. Another gentleman walked over and I questioned if it was my pizza. He said hold on walked over to the lady and told her I was questioning it. Finally the older lady walked over and said we can’t send a pizza out the door if it is not done cooking. I simply asked if that was my pizza she was picking at. She said yep. I told her to keep it and we wouldn’t be back. I know everyone is human and mistakes happen. But not once did she come over and say that we messed the pizza up would you take it like it was made or would you like us to make a new one. Instead she took it upon herself to start picking at the pizza with the hands that no one knows if they are clean. She is the one who works the register and takes money all night long. If I would have not witnessed this first hand we would have took a pizza home with who knows what germs on it. If the owners are doing this in front of customers what are they doing behind closed doors? If Lou was still alive or Hank they would not be okay with their restaurant being ran the way it is."

"Great pizza and cheesy bread. Place was busy on Saturday evening and I can see how it lives up to it's reputation as a local favorite. Worth the wait."

"We waited for 15 minutes before we were even able to order our appetizer. Took another half hour before we received the appetizer. Worst off, we ordered a large pizza and then waited an hour and a half before we had a server come over and tell us that they LOST OUR ORDER. Waited another half hour on the new pizza. We chose to not even eat in the restaurant because it took so long so this pizza better be good when we get home. Husband and I not impressed. Never coming back."

"I cannot tell you how great this place is. As a freshman at Monmouth I’ve never heard of this place but me and some friends came and oh wow. We sat down and we were immediately greeted my the owner who talked to us and was overall very friendly. But the food….. oh my the food. We got some garlic bread with cheese and it made our mouths drop it was so good, then the pizza was equally as good, and everything was made from scratch and you can tell. Just an incredible place, I will definitely be recommending it to my friends at school."
