"I wish I wasn’t writing this review as we enjoy supporting local businesses, but our experience last night was horrendous. We’ve eaten here a few times and last night will be the last time we’ll ever step foot into this restaurant. Our waitress was less than welcoming from the start. We received our spinach artichoke dip that was ice cold and the chips were stale. When we informed the waitress, she cut me off and took the bowl of dip with her hand over the top and said “let me go heat it up for you”. I wanted to have her take it back then, it was cold and just gross. She brought it back, clearly from the microwave and it was still luke warm. My husband and I asked her to please just take it back as it just wasn’t good and clearly microwaved. My so called ‘Italian beef’ sandwich looked like dog food and was essentially a pot roast sandwich with half melted mozzarella cheese with a couple sprinkles of cheddar on there and my husbands pork tenderloin was chewy and salty. When we got the bill the dip was on it and we didn’t feel as though we should pay for something that was practically inedible and brought back and not eaten. When we mentioned the charge to our waitress, she said “well, you ordered it! We only take it off the bill if there was something wrong with it!” along with admitting they microwave the dip to begin with. I responded and informed her there clearly was something wrong with it, not to mention only eating one bite of my sandwich and she eventually agreed to take the dip “just this once” off the bill. My husband and I were shocked at how we were treated, feeling unwelcome and the way the situation was handled overall. Truly a disappointment!"

"Decent selection of beers (though a couple more locals on draft would be good). Food has always been nice, though one time the chicken wrap must have been under a heat lamp for a while as the lettuce had wilted. Ruben sandwich is always a hit. Good selection for the kids and service has always been friendly."

"Have had lunch here a couple times when in the Quad Cities. Always a treat. Sandwich menu is great, but I always go back to the pork tenderloin (which side note is as big as my head!). Fries are also delicious. Last time I was there the waitress said they were down several servers, but didn't notice too much of a delay. Hard to find help these days. Will definitely go back, would like to get my hands on their whiskey list when I can get there after work one of these trips, as it has it all!"

"Stout's is situated not far from the traffic circle adorning the intersection of 53rd Avenue and Middle Road, an intersection I take almost every day to and from work. I typically pass by Stout's and all of 53rd Avenue every day, as I continue down Middle Road to I-80 for work or south to get home. Today was the day though - I had been told Stout's has some good food and was worth the trip. I'd say this assessment was spot on. The interior is not large - there were plenty of tables, but almost all were full when I arrived. With the bar completely empty, I opted to sit there to eat and drink alone for the evening. As one of the businesses growing along 53rd Avenue and around the TBK Bank Sports Complex, Stout's has a new, clean interior. Light wood laminate covers the floor throughout the dining space, with the walls mostly consisting of green painted drywall with various Irish-related accoutrement and decoration. The ceiling is quite unique - bronze colored floral patterned tiles line the entire space. Whether they are actual metal or some PVC product, I couldn't tell for sure, but I also didn't care - they looked cool and worked with the rest of the space. I opted for my normal drink choice tonight - a Bombay and Tonic. The bartender made it quickly - it was a good solid G&T. For my meal, I chose the Philly Cheese Steak. The shoestring fries were quite delicious - not to crispy and plenty fluffy. The sandwich was solid - not the best Philly Cheesesteak I've ever had, but was seasoned well and had good texture. I'd come back here for a sandwich and drink again. It's right on the way home for me, making it more convenient than many other places. Thanks for the great meal, Stout's!"

"We had the pretzels for an appetizer. I think they were left out in the sun too long (Trekkies only) as they were nearly burned. The cheese sauce was the finest canned hydrogenated oil anyone can buy. IT’S A FRICKING PUB!!! Make some beer cheese!!! The main courses were good but not great. I had the “Breakfast” burger, not bad. Not a snow balls chance in hell of picking it up, but it was tasty. My wife had the Portobello sandwich, which she described as “lacking flavor”… the highlight of the meal for my wife was her beer flight."
