Riverside Family Restaurant 7

"Fish was excellent but we were served our drinks and salads with no silverware waitress disappeared. Finally after 5 mins I got some from the next table. Waitress came back asked how was our food. I was there to celebrate and my birthday was the next day. The place was almost empty with only one table and one other table of guests. We finished eating and didn’t see our waitress again until 15 mins later as we wait to ask for a carryout container. My friend who is 84yrs old brought me out for my birthday. She went and complained, so I was asked “oh, you were celebrating your birthday, I replied I’m sorry you had this experience I will get you some birthday cake”. I asked if I could have it to go since we were now at the register paying. They took the cake out came back with a slice for me in a carryout container. Before the waitress handed to me she asked is your birthday today? I said no it’s tomorrow I told the waitress already. She said to me in front of other customers checking out “ well, you have to come back tomorrow to get it” I was so embarrassed! I will not go back!"

"I want so badly to give this MUCH NEEDED restaurant all the 5s, but I can't! We've been here several times now, and to be honest, our service has been quite poor more often than not. The food has come to the table cold on numerous occasions. Unfortunately, the best time to go here is not during ANY normal eating hours. If they're busy, our service and food have been very disappointing. Freeport NEEDS and is BIG enough of a city to have four of these types of breakfast/lunch/dinner places at each end!! I'm hoping SO much to see this restaurant improve as they are open longer!!"

"Love, love, love this place, especially since Cherie came to work here. She is our favorite waitress and we have pretty much followed her here. Not in a creepy way, we just love her service. Having a great waitress always makes the dining experience. They have great portions and great tasting food. The last time we went I tried the steak stir fry. It came on a huge plate. I was expecting it to be mostly rice, but to my surprise, it was mostly stir fry. I barely finished my plate. The sauce was well made, the steak was not overcooked, the veggies in the stir fry complemented the meat very nicely. In the past I have gotten breakfast foods. The Swiss omelet is amazing, the bacon is always that perfect line of crispy, and the coffee is pretty good for a diner. 10/10 would recommend always."

"Food was okay for the most part. The breakfast sausage tasted off.... I asked for no nuts with my Alaskan waffle. They're still nuts in it. Could have been a problem had I been allergic. Poor waitress was over worked. Need to hirer more help."

"New place, but food was amazing. Owners are so sweet, woman told me about how they make the crepes I ordered homemade because the quality of the ones they ordered didn't meet her standards. Friendly servers, filling portions."
