"Catherine's (both here and in IC) is the without question the most fashionable shop between the Mississippi River and Des Moines (probably farther, too.) And as another reviewer noted, the cost-per-wear, for Catherine's exceptional pieces, is lower than stuff that is cheaper upfront but falls apart after a few spins through the washing machine."
"Stopped in there today to check it out and a pair of pants was $580!!!! Majority of the store was at least $250+ for basic items. No way. The cheapest thing I found was a pair of beach shorts for $59. The clothes were cute but not for those prices. No wonder the parking lot is always empty and you never see anyone in there."
"Quite possibly the cutest store ever. Catherine's and Paul's is the second store by Catherine, who owns Catherine's in downtown Iowa City. Boutique, beautiful clothing, with a low cost per wear. If you want trendy clothes, shoes, and accessories, this is your place."
