Alamo Estates Apartments

"The few times my rent has been late, it has only been for a few days. No payment plan is offered. There is an automatic late fee. Instead of just leaving a notice on your door that your rent is overdue, the office workers attempt to enter your apartment with their master key. I don't want them entering my apartment without me there. I have a dog (that is on the lease) that I will not leave kenneled while I am at work. I work all day. What if the office workers come in and startle my dog and he gets aggressive? Also, my mom is disabled and can't stand to answer the door. They have invaded her privacy twice already. And also she has Covid at the moment. The office workers risk getting Covid by entering. Nothing works. Spent the whole summer without AC. Heating still doesn't work. Never fixed the mold problem."

"Amy and Valerie are awesome! Very helpful and knowledgeable about the complex. They are a little older but the maintenance crew is on top of things. Looking forward to living here."

"Besides the often shootings that happen there is a sewer that often is broken & emits smells all over,also Staff is beyond rude first off they never do the maintenance when needed our A/C hasn't been fix in over a year. Recently staff broke in to give "notice" saying we fell behind rent I felt so violated I was feeling ill & was with my elderly mom so couldn't open quickly, don't understand why they they just didn't leave it at the door, they were quick to do that but not quick to fix any maintenance problems when needed."

"I just reviewed the reviews from the past couple of years, and it’s sad to say that much has not changed with these apartments except for the management. First months rent hasn’t even been paid yet and for the whole month I been without AC and hot water. I have put in several maintenance request and have tried going into the office and speaking with someone personally. I actually ran into maintenance today and they informed me it will be fixed by today. Unfortunately this matter still has yet to be rectified, even though a broken AC is classified as a maintenance emergency. It seems like the next step would have to be corporate."

"This has been a very bad experience for me. The shootings in the evenings and over night are ridiculous. I currently have a bullet hole in my car. I was even stuck in my car one night because I was surrounded by sounds of gunfire I was too scared to go inside. Shootings are a regular thing to hear. Given I was getting behind on my rent due to health issues, I have requested a copy of my lease to get assistance in multiple occasions. (I signed a paper copy and was told I would get a copy later but they never did). The landlord denied rental assistance so I fell behind even more. I currently am being denied because I cannot obtain a copy and they are refusing to provide one. I could’ve caught up with my rent months ago but they are being difficult. They are rarely available during business hours and NEVER answers the phone. My heat, ac, dishwasher has yet to be repaired as of last year. There is also an infestation of ants. I cannot even leave a box of cereal on the counter without it being swarmed with ants within 10 minutes. I have kids and the ants are hard to control. I have now been evicted and cannot find another place to live because my landlord denied me help I desperately needed. I’ma single mom with 2 little kids and they have just made a bad situation for me much worse."
