Hillside Canyon Apartments

"Apartments are roach and rat infested. Have had window units for a year because they don't want to fix my ac. I have emailed and personally requested the new management fix these issues but they just keep giving me the run around. I highly recommend everyone stay away from these apartments. New management is trying to push all the residents out so they can raise the rent for new tenants. These apartments aren't even worth what we're paying now. Plus we have to pay to park in our own complex. They are causing illnesses amongst their residents and anyone who complains are threatened with eviction."

"First off to start I want to rate this apartment complex -100 stars. building 1 and building 3 are infested with rats and roaches (literally rat droppings everywhere) and to back me up on this the maintenance man Philip told everyone about the problem before he left , but unfortunately a new company bought this property and now their called The Preston Apartments and the CEO likes to call the cops on residents and make false complaints because they don't wanna take action on needed work orders knowing they're putting infants and toddlers lives in danger and having them end up in the hospital, but once again like they said "its not their problem" when it in fact it is their responsibility to fix these problems on their property. I REPEAT AVOID THESE APARTMENTS MANAGEMENT IS TRASH THE CEO IS TRASH AND THEY DON'T CARE ABOUT THEIR RESIDENTS AT ALL."

"Management - never really had a problem with management with the years that I was there. Of course I just always spoke to management in person as well as sent an email stating the date that I had talk to them and time so I could have a back up plan just in case they forgot. Maintenance - they were always amazing and sweet whenever I had an issue they came right away. there were some language barriers but they always took out their phone and pulled out the translation so that way we had everything resolved. So my place itself carpets were dirty and anytime you try to move furniture the carpet would always pull up. There was a big bug issue! So coming from a huge clean freak I know it wasn’t a problem from me. Neighbors would constantly leave trash out for days they were huge heavy smokers so the smell would always come through the vents always left their dog loose to where the dog would jump on my 2 yr old daughter at the time. So she didn’t like me for kicking her dog out MY apartment. Nobody ever picked up after their dogs. They would even go on sidewalk. Walls are thin you can hear everyone’s conversations. Though people were respectful enough to know when to turn everything down at night so it was relatively peaceful. Resident 2017-2021"

"This is my first apartment that I have ever lived in and I usually don't do reviews but I had to for this one because I highly recommend this place. Leslie was very helpful and proactive at the front desk along with the rest of the staff for getting on top of things when needed and staying on the task with outstanding customer service. I had a very minimal problem and they were able to jump on things as soon as possible. I haven't ran into any issues other issues since(which was a small crack in the windshield). The neighborhood is quiet and local to many stores and schools."

"DO NOT waste your money on this place. Management is absolutely terrible! I had to call after hours emergency service for a clogged toilet that was over flowing everywhere. While appreciate her sending someone, he did not arrive until almost 11 pm at night and was clearly intoxicated. He did not ever get the toilet unclogged and someone else came the next morning and unclogged it in less than 10 minutes! Yesterday morning I woke up to find my AC not cooling. I called the after hours emergency service and spoke to 2 women who told me they would be contacting the property manager Loli. Never heard anything so I called again, at this point it was almost 90 degrees in my apartment. This time I was told no one would be coming out to look at my AC because its not considered an emergency. HOW IS A CLOGGED TOILET AN EMERGENCY BUT MY AC NOT WORKING IN 102 DEGREE WEATHER AND WE ARE IN A HEAT ADVISORY IS NOT! Mind you i have a 7 year old and it was almost 90 degrees inside. I went this morning to speak to the property manager and make sure someone will be going to look at it. She was rude (as she always is!) Of course this is not the first issues I've had with management. I will be contacting a legal team, the city, and the BBB, this is not okay!! When Leslie was management I had ZERO issues.
