The Enclave at 1550 Apartments

"Update: My advice to anyone thinking about moving in is to be prepared for the following: 1. Limited security. Several cars have been stolen from the garage and the doors to the building rarely stay locked. Anyone can walk in at anytime. There have been several occasions where children from the other apartment complexes in the area are found swimming in the pool here, they will even go door-to-door asking for money to take out your trash. 2. Roaches are out of control!! And although we pay an extra fee for pest control, whatever they're spraying does not work. Several of my neighbors have moved out due to this uncontrollable condition and it is something that you will either have to treat yourself or be prepared to have your home infested with roaches. 3. One if not two of the three elevators will consistently be down. I think the above issues are beyond the control of the on-site management team. And I will say overall the staff are sweet and I believe they do the best they can. Original post: I was a bit hesitant to move here after reading some if those horrible reviews. But here I am and so far any issues I have had have been quickly resolved. The people who live here are friendly and their pets are well behaved. I will admit the elevators are an issue as at least one of them have been out of commission since I moved in however I have only had to climb the stais once. I will say that Iris and Karen are both amazing! They provide timely communication, stay on top of everything and do their very best dealing with the issues that come with managing such an old property. So far I am pleased with my decision to call this place home. I don't expect perfection what I expect is a quick response and effort to fix what may be broken and so far I am pleased with the customer service I have received."

"I’ve been here for a few years and I love it I feel safe here and never any issues with noise or etc but the old management was amazing. The lobby used to get mopped daily and elevators were kept up maintenance wise and cleanliness too and Now there’s new management and it seems like they’re not even trying. The keypad in the front lobby doesn’t work the manager says she doesn’t know how to find someone to fix it. The elevators always have issues and one hasn’t worked in over 6 months and she doesn’t know when it’ll be fixed. A few weeks ago all elevators were down and code compliance was called. The lobby doesn’t get mopped anymore the floors are super dirty and elevators too, I had to ask them to practically clean the elevators cause the buttons had slime and gross markings over them and people have thrown up in there or had their dogs pee in there and it’s gross they just clean the floors nothing else. Children live here and it’s gross being around those things especially when kids get sick easily. We have assigned parking and I gave the manager my info 3 times and she lost it and blamed it on the last manager, wouldn’t take responsibility about it. We have security at night and apparently there’s a person impersonating a guard now , that’s creepy and unsafe and I’m sure she’s not gonna check at night about it. The cameras don’t work either. You pay a lot for your rent and amenities but we aren’t getting the full thing and I think they should atleast lower the rent or accomadate us somehow cause it isn’t fair honestly with all these things having issues ."

"Cameras don’t work, gates don’t work, elevators are always down. “security”is just for show. This apartment complex is so unorganized. The only good thing about this apartments is the view. Other than that it’s a nightmare living here. The new management is trying their best, but need to handle things a bit differently so things don’t pile up. Neighbors are super nice, maintenance people are cool and fast."

"I left a bad review at but I was just kind of upset the way finances were managed during the pandemic and the literal halt life took for everyone. The manager Lenore just wanted to collect rent and yes she was kind of aggressive when I needed some time to collect myself together but all in all this apartment complex is amazing. It’s the best apartment I’ve rented at. It’s super cool. The neighbors are incredibly friendly. They are very pet friendly here. I’ve had only one bad experience with a resident but it was some drunk white guy in the middle of the night. Never saw him again. The maintenance is amazing! They remember your name and apartment number. They have security here. The apartment does kind of have this creepy haunted vibe but that makes me like it more. They are also pretty affordable here as far as inflation is concerned. The apartments are chic. Quiet. They feel very private. It has a dorm vibe to it. There is a bug problem… there’s a trash chute that’s leads to the dumpster in the basement. In the basement if you pay attention there are roaches that will hop on to furniture if you hit the ceilings or the walls when moving up. Just be careful. I had roaches every now and then but if you ask for aggressive treatment that should do the job. I like the little gym there. If I could go back I would truthfully! My husband cannot stand living in an apartment but I would definitely come back to live in the bigger unit. This apartment is super unique and in a great location over all there’s no place like it. Edit: idk if they have security anymore actually I lived here in 2019-2020 not sure if they let go of security. If they did that’s a shame the security guard was really kind and cool"
