"I have been taking my two kids to caring for kids pediatrics for over 4 yrs now, but after today’s experience, I will not be going back. The customer service has completely fallen apart. The front office staff used to be friendly and efficient but the last few times they were not. It seems they have gotten too big and are too busy, and therefore it’s completely lost the personal touch. There have been many times where I have waited 45 minutes or more past my appointment time. They also do not have a grace period for if you’re running late (and we all know how trying to get out the door on time with two kids goes), and even if you call ahead to let them know you’re on your way and running a few minutes behind, you’re forced to completely reschedule. This is extra frustrating because there have been many times that they have made me wait when they are running behind. It’s too bad that the way the office is run has taken a bad turn, because the nurse practitioners and pediatricians are great. But after how I was treated today, I will not be returning and will be looking for a new pediatrician for my family."

"We've been seeing Dr. Castro for the last 7 years (son's birth). Dr. Castro and his staff have always taken good care of us each and every time. He explains very thoroughly all our concerns. I would highly recommend his office if you are in search of a caring doctor and staff."

"The front office staff is always so helpful and kind. Very well organized and managed office. It’s always so easy to get an appointment and they even offer Saturday appointments. Dr. Castro is amazing! He really takes his time seeing my kiddos when I take them and explains everything thoroughly. You never feel rushed, yet the wait time is less than we ever had at Dr. offices. Very grateful for being referred here by someone who works at the local pharmacy we use."

"I was mislead by the reviews. This was our first and last visit at the Helotes office. My children went for a wellness visit and are healthy. I was questioned by the female doctor why am I not “protecting” my children because I don’t follow the recommended vaccine guidelines? My children are very well protected and a freedom of conscience belief choice that I’m allowed, to make that decision. I figured the conversation will end there, but it didn’t. The doctor continued to berate me telling me that my children will get vaccinated children sick (isn’t that what the vaccine is for?) and how my children will need to wait in the car for future visits. Isolating my children even though they are healthy and can’t even sit in the office. I understand the medical side, but she didn’t respect my parenting right. My choice is no different than a parent who chooses to vaccinate. So if you have personal beliefs and values for your children that is different than the recommended guidelines, I wouldn’t recommend this practice."
