"Our neighbors invited us to go with them to see Jack and Aiden. Great show! The theatre is a small, intimate setting. Very comfortable seating. They have an amazing policy of pay what you like. We'll be back for sure. Came back tonight to see Always A Boy. WOW. What an amazing performance. Absolutely love this theatre."

"Last night, I watched my boyfriend originate the role of Jack in the newly commissioned gay musical JACK & AIDEN here in Austin. I’m not a theatre critic, but I have to say that JP and his costar, Laura Leo Kelly, have done remarkable work with this new musical. When Laura Leo’s character asked Jack to stay with him just before the third number, I began crying. The tears didn’t let up for another hour and a half. I’ve seen JP perform many times, and he’s a talented, gifted actor. But there were times last night that his performance took me to a completely different level, and I forgot, for a time, it was my boyfriend on stage, the man who found me with a broken heart, and taught me to love again. His searing performance during “Flying,” as his character descends into meth-fueled madness, left me with chills. Laura Leo’s song “Hey, Daniel,” had my heart breaking for their character, Aiden. I felt Aiden’s pain and trauma from his first love, tragically lost. JACK & AIDEN is by the LGBT community, for the LGBT community. It is a raw, primal, unapologetic highlight on our lives, loves, struggles, triumphs, traumas, setbacks, pain, misery, joy, happiness, and reality. It isn’t straight-washed. I’ve never been so moved in my life. The cast and crew should rightfully be proud of their accomplishments. Mom and I can’t wait to watch it again for closing night Saturday. I am so proud of JP, and I love him so much."

"Typically shows unusual and important plays. I love that they have a pay what you can policy and enough interest to fill full price seats."

"I've seen numerous shows at Ground Floor Theatre! "Art", "Jenna and the Whale", and "Pageant" to name a few. They are always so well done, everyone checking tickets is so kind, and often there is food or drink for a small donation. Highly recommend seeing a show here!"

"Although initially confusing because of timeline mismatch, and the odd juxtaposition of placement for the hearing and deaf players, the overall quality of the production ("The Last Five Years") was excellent. Great voices, and emotion-invoking acting that couldn't have been better. The facility itself needs better signs directing you there, but otherwise, it was among the best productions I've seen from a small theater group with minimalist staging."
