"There are some competent counselors there, but they never have availability’s, schedule you very far out and are not willing to work with your schedule. Also, there canceling policy is contradicting becausey they don’t follow their own rules. I got called from them several times to reschedule with them which is considered a cancel but when we do it we are limited. Especially driving from lee Trevino to the westside."
"Before moving to El Paso, I researched different counseling centers to do my internship. When I came across Counseling of El Paso, I instantly wanted to join their team. Unfortunately, they were not accepting interns at the time, which I was sad about. Still, by the grace of God, a month later, they reached out to my school, informing me they were willing to meet with me. I was pretty excited because all the other counseling centers lacked communication. Fast forward, I was able to do my internship with them, and it was probably one of the best things that ever happened to me. Guillermo Casteneda was my supervisor, and he provided me with many opportunities to advance my career, such as training, supervision, and an enormous amount of support. He genuinely took his time to help me increase my counseling skills, build my confidence, etc. He never discouraged or limited what I could achieve; he challenged me in ways to help me shape my counseling identity. When I had group supervision with classmates, I would hear how they felt unsupported, weren't given chances to grow, etc. I knew I was lucky to have such a fantastic supervisor. Overall, Counseling of El Paso has some of the BEST counselors I had the privilege to work with. Each of them, including my site supervisor, truly cares for their clients. Their intentions are pure. I have always wanted to be surrounded by individuals who seek the best for clients and are genuinely wonderful people. My overall experience working with Counseling of El Paso was truly a blessing. I was very saddened when my internship ended but even after my internship ended, they ALL still support me, which is very rare. If you guys ever want to complete your internship or even seek services here. You will not be disappointed with the staff, let alone the environment of this palce."
