As you wind your way through the picturesque desert landscape, you'll be greeted by breathtaking views of rugged cliffs, desert flora, and glimpses of the Franklin Mountains. The drive alone is worth the trip! Once you arrive at the canyon, you'll find a range of activities to enjoy. Hiking trails of varying difficulties crisscross the area, providing opportunities for hikers of all levels to explore this majestic landscape. "McKellington Canyon is on of my favorite places to exercise outdoors. You can walk up the road for an easier walk. Or,you can take hiking poles, and climb the large boulders in the washes, and ravines. The view at the top of Texas, New Mexico, and Mexico are splendid."
