"Didn’t find out they wouldn’t take my insurance until I arrived at the appt. even though I gave them all of my info the week prior. Was told I’d get a call if there were any issues and didn’t hear anything."

"I would give 0 stars if possible. This is by far the worst places to get an eye exam. I brought my two sons in for exams and when I tell you they were incomplete, we were out in less than 2 mins. He did not do a refraction or dilate their eyes. How do I even know if their rx is correct. I worked in ophthalmology and I know for sure it wasn't correct. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME HERE!!"

"I really liked Dr. Riegler. He was really good with my 8 year old daughter and actually listened to us when we told him we really felt sure that there was something wrong with the last prescription my daughter had from Bastrop Family Eye Care. We’d gone to him for a second opinion because they insisted her RX was perfect, despite the glasses causing her awful migraines. Only reason for the low rating is, the actual retail end. Not sure where to start. I suppose you could always see him, then just take your RX to be filled elsewhere, but it sure is convenient to do it all in one. There is a HORRIBLE selection of glasses. Now, if you’re on a tight budget, this could be great as they’re VERY cheap. If you’re like me and your insurance allows you a $150-200 and two sets of glasses per year (very common), kinda stinks to get some off brand $30 pair, when your insurance would allow for something much better. No matter how cheap the glasses, you don’t get to roll over your allotment or break it up, so if you buy a $35 pair, it’s going to count as one of your two pairs per year. So, in that case, I’d ratger get ray ban’s or something that would use my full allowance. The clerks are not very knowledgeable. Keep in mind, that part is still Walmart, so you can expect similar service as you’d get in the actual store. If they had their own retail, they’d be 5 stars."

"I called for exam for my 5 year old and asked if they take young children. I was told they did. Arrived early to do paperwork. Doc came put read the paperwork put it back in rack then took patient scheduled after us. She brought daughter in and spoke to her for a few seconds and came out to tell us we had to come back another time to complete exam. I was quoted $79 exam fee then charged $119, but they would not charge when I came back. AVOID THIS SCAMMING PLACE."
