"Edited for changes in care: our experience with our last two doctors with epilepsy clinic has been so much better in the last year. Dr. Lee was a wonderful doctor and really listened and addressed the issues we were having previously. Original review: Communication is difficult. I was hoping the long appointment waits and difficulty communicating with staff would get better after things picked up after pandemic but it has since gotten worse. Appointments have to be made 3-6 months out. The patients doctor had left without any notification. School forms are difficult to get filled out by staff in timely manner. I felt there were also issues with patients health that weren't being communicated with patient's family doctor after several requests. I understand that medical personnel have been overwhelmed because of the pandemic but the level of care and communication is not quality and has been a frustrating experience."

"If you aren’t happy with TX Children’s Neuro, RUN to Think Neurology! My son has a rare issue that TX Children’s brushed off and ignored for three years. The wait times for appointments at TX Children’s neuro are awful and the drs are more interested in pushing pharmaceuticals for profits, then they are with finding and fixing the root cause of your child’s issue. If you want a neuro team with short wait times for appointments and drs who actually sit and listen and believe parents, who look for causes of issues, and real solutions, make an appt at Think Neuro. I regret playing games with TX Children’s for as long as I did. If your child is a patient at TX Children’s Neuro and you have any doubts about their care, please please please at least make a second opinion appt with Think. Don't wait like I did. Take this as a sign to get a second opinion with Think."

"Don't remember much of this because of the shock of being told your daughter has a learning disability. I do remember the MRI took all of our money at the time. Now its been 26 years later and my daughter still has the same issues if not worse. Never have been able to get help with disability for her and to help me as well. My husband died and I cant handle this by myself anymore. How does one get help for a child now adult with disabilities. We are both at our wits end and thinking very bad thoughts but we are tired of the struggle. There should be help for these unfortunate situations. How is the question, filed for ssDi told no. Why do you need a attorney to get help for something that can be proven?"

"Why is nobody answering the phones?! I have been trying to schedule my sons appointment w/neurologist on MyChart and it won’t let me do it. Now I’ve been on hold for over 30 min!"

"Called Neurology Clinic while in the elevator that I was on my way up, and the nurse I spoke to said “that’s fine come on up.” I get up stairs go to check in, told that he wouldn’t be seen. That I could schedule another appointment but it would be 3-6 months out. Even after explaining I called and was told to come on up. I not only wasted 13.00 for parking, but I wasted 3hrs of driving to this appt, a day of work. Never have I ever been treated like this ever in this hospital until today. As an employee here, I’m embarrassed at how other pts are treated for showing up late, even though they have called to inform the clinic. My family will be finding a new neurology clinic, if that means driving to Dallas."
