"The experience was good and the wait time was not long at all."

"I scheduled an appointment for a consultation and procedure with their urologist Dr. Nguyen. I was given a date five weeks out and was told that both the consultation and procedure would occur in the same visit. Three weeks later, I was contacted by someone in the office and told that I would have to make one trip for the consultation (during which I would have to convince the doctor that I really wanted the procedure), then make an additional trip three weeks later for the actual procedure. I was told that a telehealth visit for the consultation would not be possible due to the need for a signature - as if documents are not signed digitally every single day. This change of plans was unacceptable to me (due to the increase in mileage, additional days needed off work, inconvenience, and also infantilizing me) so I took the woman's offer to speak with the doctor himself. He informed me that it would be in fact THIRTY(+) days from the date of the consultation before I could have the procedure performed. Breathlessly, he told me that I would need to arrive in person for the consultation (rather than doing so over a telehealth visit) so that he could perform an exam as well as sign the paperwork. I attempted to inquire why I could not simply have a remote visit for the consultation and paperwork, then have the examination and procedure done on the same day. He interrupted this question, as he had interrupted me several times before while sharing my frustrated concerns and questions. I attempted to ask again, and he simply repeated his offer that I go elsewhere because--paraphrasing--this is just how people do it. (I feel very confident that other offices would NOT give me incorrect information while scheduling, then give me incorrect information AGAIN while attempting to resolve the scheduling issue, and then act this dismissively towards a scheduled patient with concerns/complaints.) At last I was able to ask my question in full, and it was still not addressed to my satisfaction. Ultimately, the doctor told me point-blank that he would not do the procedure *for me*. Specifically, he said he would not do the procedure (his words) "for you". At this point, and with this level of excitability and disregard, the feeling is extraordinarily mutual. This review receives two stars rather than one, because I have had spectacular experiences with other Harris Health locations."

"I'm very dissatisfied with my recent experiences at the clinic. I feel I'm just a number and nothing more. I started 3 new medications and I have been so sick since Friday to Monday, feeling that I might not wake up. Trying to reach out for help and nothing. I'm fast losing faith in the system and their care for me. They know I have 30 years in nursing field and surgery tech. Maybe for that they feel I don't need help. This is my clinic, not about staff being nice or the chair count. Its about being taken care when sick or the doctor checking on a patient after the medication i was started on, especially when i told him i was nervous. Not all people are text book sick, some of us are the exception to the rule. Seriously dissatisfied with my doctor's right now."
