CareNow Urgent Care - Spring

"I’ve been here 2 times before and must admit that this was the most uncomfortable experience I’ve had. I went in for chest pain due to my asthma. Was told I would have to do an EKG & asked if I would be more comfortable with a female doing it which I agreed to. I was told to undress from the waist up and put on the paper gown backwards. Then the male nurse came back & knocked to say that the female would be in shortly. My gown had ripped on the right shoulder so I had to hold it together. Instead of the female entering, the doctor came in (Dr.Carter) instead of the female. His initial question (“So what’s going on with you? What happened?”), was unprofessional and even tho I could hear myself wheezing & could barely talk properly, he told me he couldn’t hear anything when listening to my lungs and didn’t know what was wrong. The female then came in to proceed with the EKG & I was able to ask for a bigger gown. Before the doctor came back in, she made sure to ask me to cover up all the way. (Which could have been communicated to me before the doctor came in the first time.) The 1st printing of the EKG was abnormal but they said it was due to the machine. He came in and held the wires and made her reprint it. Then told me it was normal. He still told me that he didn’t know what was wrong and prescribed something telling me to take it and if I wasn’t better in 12 hrs to go the the ER for more imaging. I told the lady about me being uncomfortable and she told me the doctor wanted to make sure that I needed an EKG before she came in. I really felt as if that could have been communicated so that I was properly covered up before he came in with the original male nurse knowing that I had undressed and was waiting on the lady to enter. Not the doctor. Also, I had to have my card swiped again because the front desk girl accidentally voided my first transaction. So I had 2 holds placed on my card. Overall, this was my worst experience going here & I’ve been here in the past and have saw great doctors. I didn’t feel comfortable with this visit nor do I feel comfortable with taking what was prescribed to me. I honestly feel as tho this was a waste of my money and time."

"So I brought my wife here hoping for a minor laceration and just because it was 8 minutes till close they gave me the excuse of saying they didn’t have the proper materials needed to help us. Good thing it wasn’t worse off and that there is an ally emergency next door because they apparently were no help for needing urgent care."

"Doctor was awesome . Very knowledgeable and knows how to approach health issues. Front desk lady may need little smile to greet patients. This is not a driver license office."
