"I have been suffering extreme pain from my knees for years. I thought I would never play basketball with my son until I see Dr. Lyu. I could not have been treated any better. After the treatment, my pain is much relieved. I am so grateful of itI"

"On the plus side, the staff here are very pleasant, and the physical therapist has excellent taste in music. On the other side, I do not feel that I got any real value for the time and money spent here. I had a prescription for physical therapy from another doctor, and found Houston Medical Clinic through my insurance plan, being close to my office. Despite having a diagnosis and prescription already, they wouldn't schedule me to see their therapist without a consultation from their own doctor first. This seemed reasonable at the time, so I agreed. The consultation consisted of maybe 10 minutes of conversation and no actual examination, and left me $90 lighter, but with the desired appointment the following week for an "evaluation" with their physical therapist. The physical therapy "evaluation" was a disappointment in the extreme. the physician's assistant took me into an office, called someone on the phone, and I got to repeat the conversation I'd had with the doctor from the previous visit over the speakerphone. The only reason I didn't complain was they then took me back to the actual therapist. "Therapy" consisted of ~15min of ultrasound/heat, and another ~15min of electrostim, and at the end they gave me a photocopied sheet of exercises that I could work on at home. Given that this was only my first visit and they seemed a bit harried with multiple patients, I scheduled a second PT visit. This second PT visit consisted of the same, and when I explicitly asked about exercises I should be doing to help with the pain I was experiencing - hoping to get some actual supervised activity to ensure that I was doing the exercises correctly, I got a flippant response that I could do X, Y, and Z exercises, and maybe lunges too if they didn't hurt too much. Ultimately, if you're looking for massage therapy, this place may be just fine. if you're looking for actual physical therapy, especially something to train yourself how to move or do exercises to strengthen targeted muscles and prevent damage to injured joints, you're going to be horribly disappointed."
