"Dr. Alaniz Is really great. He always listens and he’s always concerned for my well-being first and foremost. I feel comfortable being open and honest about things that are going on, I never feel as though I’m being judged. He is very professional. He doesn’t just write you a prescription and get you out the door he does a very thorough review of everything going on and assesses all of my health information, both emotional and physical to make sure that I am getting the best psychiatric care possible. He is incredibly nice and very thorough. I Highly recommend him."

"I live in Galveston and because of his flexibility, responsiveness, and skill drive to Katy once every 6 months or so for a check-in with Dr. Alaniz. The rest of the time I utilize his telepsych services. What I most value about Dr. Alaniz is his willingness to listen to me and work with me in terms of the medicines I’m open to taking as well as scheduling. Dr. Alaniz is not one of those psychiatrists who takes awhile to get back to you or can’t fit you in for 2-4 weeks even if it’s an emergency. He is a rare find in the psychiatric world."

My first session with him ran over the allotted time by 45 minutes and he didn't seem to mind at all. He was going to take however long he needed to in order to understand my situation and prescribe the correct regimen to get me back on track. He was kind and caring, which are two characteristics I cannot use to describe any other psychiatrist I had seen before him. He is just different in his approach and does not shy away from other physical issues that may be affecting mental health. He is a "whole health" doctor... one that single handedly saved my life. His ability to ask the right questions, his approach to diagnosing, and his talent in tailoring a treatment plan specific to the individual is second-to-none. The treatment plan Dr. Alaniz developed for me, personally, was able to improve my mental health in ways I never thought was possible prior to visiting him. "To anyone and everyone out there looking for a psychiatrist, please take the time to make an appointment with Dr. Alaniz. He is incredibly kind, caring and will take the time to listen to you and assess the best route of treatment. He’s open hours that are beneficial to people with strict work hours which is a huge plus. Unfortunately, he doesn’t take insurance but his fees aren’t outrageous and his expertise and level of care is absolutely worth it."
