"Had to see a PCP for a referral to a specialist. Saw the PCP and she was extremely nice (Dr. Stammond). I gave her all the information for the specialist and she told me it could take up to a week for the referral department to process it and send it to the Specialist, but she assured me that it usually doesn’t take that long. Exactly one week after seeing Dr. Stammond and waiting for the referral to go through no one from OakBend called me si k called them. The receptionist told me they were just now working on it and that it would be done by 3pm that day and she would call me by 4pm to tell me it'd gone through. Well 4pm came and went and no call. At 4:45p before they closed I called them and they told me yes it went through. The referral was sent to Dr. Alexander an OBGYN in their own office, that Id already seen before and had problems with. So basically I waited a whole week to get a referral to the wrong Doctor. i gave Dr. Stammond the name, address, telephone number, fax number all the right information for the Specialist I needed to see and somehow they got it wrong. The unapologetic receptionist (she said her name was Yvette, but I don't know if this is her real name) kept saying how it wasn't her fault and she was very combative as I was justifiably upset that I still have to wait to see a specialist. I have had so many other negative experiences with Oakbend that I'm completely done with this poorly run hospital."

"Recently switched to a new obgyn for better care for the remainder of my pregnancy. All of the receptionists and nurse assistants were phenomenal. My only issue was with the doctor’s ( Dr. Kelcie Alexander) demeanor and attitude each appointment. With this being my first pregnancy, I have been excited to ask questions, and to just have a welcoming experience for appointments concerning my baby and I. Unfortunately, whenever I needed to meet with the doctor, her attitude was far from welcoming. My questions were greeted with side eyes and snarky smirks along with her asking ( I’m sure strictly because it’s protocol) “Do you have any questions” while giving off a “Please don’t ask any damn questions” face and attitude. My husband and I were both able to attests for her attitude ( in case people assume I’m being sensitive due to pregnancy). To be fair, I did not intend to have a familial or friendship type of relationship with my doctor. However, I did and do expect for there to be be a sense of being approachable and a sense of true concern for me as a patient at minimal. I was hoping after a few appointments (considering doctors are human too) that maybe there would be a change and that I could cut some slack. However nothing changed and after it was confirmed that the doctor could be one of the potential providers to deliver my baby ( I tried to just switch providers instead of switching facilities completely but apparently there was not another Obgyn) I switched providers with haste. During such a stressful time such as labor, I can’t imagine having a doctor with a nasty attitude during the process. This was just my experience. There is somebody for everybody. This provider just was not for me."

"This office sucks since the doctor moved here! The receptionists gossip and talk about the patients while others are standing there checking in! I went for an issue with insurance and they refused to do it till I called the insurance my self because the insurance called them and they never picked up the phone! The insurance has to tell them how to do their job. Since the doctor has moved here I can’t get in to see her for my sons who have seen her since they came home from the hospital! It’s the staff not the doctor that makes this place suck now!! They really need to evaluate their staff because in the doctor office I work for there would have been a complete overhaul with the staff and most would be replaced by now!"
