"I cannot recommend Dr Stein and his staff highly enough. I’m a 64 year-old female who fractured her left wrist falling on an outstretched hand. Dr. Stein was able to work me in the day of my injury. After looking at my x-rays he concluded that my wrist actually had 4 pieces that were not where they were supposed to be. Though Dr Stein stated he likes to take a conservative approach, he concluded that due to my active lifestyle (I’m a competitive cyclist), surgery was the best option. His office staff was caring and efficient in getting me scheduled for surgery the next week. Three days ago Dr Stein put a titanium plate in my wrist, reconstructing the 4 pieces which had broken off. He and the anesthesiologist were both empathetic and professional when dealing with the challenging nature of my injury. They worked out a plan to use medium sedation and a block in my arm as I have had previous bad experiences with general anesthesia. The surgery went well. And while the night after the surgery was rough, I was able to stay ahead of the pain with the medication plan. Today is post-op day 3 and I feel great! I have a follow-up appointment in 2 weeks during which time we’ll come up with a plan going forward, but at this point I could not be more pleased or incredulous with how good I feel and how I am able to move my hand. I am so pleased that out of the many options for hand surgeons in San Antonio, Dr Stein was the one to which I was referred. He seems to have a genuine interest in both my injury and me as a person—plus I could not ask for a better outcome."

"I’ve been trying to have shoulder surgery for a while, but i have had other serious health issues that have prevented it. Dr Burns and his office have been amazing! They’ve rescheduled several times and have always been caring and concerned. Great staff to work with!! Dr Burns has been amazing as well. He’s listened and made sure everything was perfect with me before surgery. ☺️"
