"I do not recommend anyone going to see Dr. Manisha Parikh, or dealing with any of the nursing staff and receptionist. I am young and went in this morning for my first pap smear and I didn't really know what to expect. I was nervous, so I took my spouse with me. When the nurse called me to the back, we approached her and she put her hand up as to stop him, because I had already slipped into the other side of the door, and he was following behind me. She then told him, " there isn't any seating in the room" and shut the door on him. I was shocked and didn't respond fast enough, so he waited for me in the waiting room. Then I heard another patient who was waiting in the waiting room say, "well, that was rude." Proceed to the actual appointment with the Doctor, She comes into the room after a little while and I was trying to collect myself and just get through the appointment had been wiping away tears and trying not to continue to cry. She comes into the room and ignores that I had been upset. I guess I expected her to say something like, "It's okay, no reason to be nervous". But, again, I was like oh well. She starts to ask me about what has been going on, and as I am trying to explain to her my history she talks over me, and so I wait patiently to continue with what has been going on inside my body. She then tells that my "yeast infection" doesn't sound like a "yeast infection" it sounds like my boyfriend is cheating on me. Her exact words were, " that doesn't sound like a yeast infection. Has your boyfriend been with anyone else since yall have been together?" I responded with, "No, not to my knowledge with a little giggle, because it was so awkward and random. I was uncomfortable and just wanted to leave, but I didn't feel like that was really an option. So, she proceeded with the exam and then said, "everything looks really healthy, I will send the sample off to be tested. You are good to go pay". I then go to pay even though I have health insurance, and I am waiting for 10 min. for the lady to check me out. She said, " hold on, let me check out the lady behind you first, because your stuff isn't in the system yet. The lady behind me didn't wait at all and came to find out it was covered by insurance, and I didn't owe anything, so I waited another 12 min. for no reason. Thanks for wasting my time. SUMMARY: The staff made me feel unwelcome, frustrated, stupid, ashamed, and confused. My experience isn't everyone's, but I would not recommend this office or doctor to anyone I care for."

"I’ve been going to USMD for the past 10 years and recently started having a lot of issues. Last year I followed up with the offsite lab company they contract with and was informed that my insurance had never been sent to them so I was paying the cash price for labs. I called the office to get the situation rectified and they kept ignoring my calls. This year I tried to make an appointment with my doctor who I come to find out had retired. I used to drive back while in school and again when I lived in other cities to see her because I really liked her. I asked for a one month supply to hold me over while I was trying to find a doctor in Houston that I could see (no reason to drive back when there are plenty of doctors closer). Mind you I was last seen December 2021 and it was December 2022-so right at one year. I was told that they would be willing to send in a one month supply if I found a doctor in Houston-I would just have to call back to tell them who I was seeing/when the appointment was. I scheduled an appointment with a doctor in Houston and called back a few weeks later in January as requested. I was rudely told my doctor had retired and they could not do anything to accommodate me due to their medication protocol before getting hung up on. I am a pharmacist and it shocked me how unprofessional the conversation was. I kept waiting for a call from the office manager and ended up using a teledoc to get the one month supply I needed. I talked to the office manager and will say she was very nice and did offer options in a professional way. Very disappointed by the care I received. I would recommend double checking any and all bills before paying them. I really loved my doctor but the office staff dropped the ball way too many times."

"Do NOT under any circumstances visit this office. The staff is unprofessional and dangerous. They performed an in office ablation on me that landed me in the hospital for a week with TWO infections and only a half abalated uterus. When I called my Dr after the procedure to report the fever, I could not get through for hours. When I finally spoke to a nurse she acted as if I was over reacting and never had a Dr call me. I tried to treat the fever with advil until I was septic 5 days later. I called my Dr daily and from the hospital and have still never received a call back. If you value your life, stear clear. They just want your money. I'm now forced to have a hysterectomy to correct her errors. If I could find a lawyer who takes malpractice cases they didn't end in death, I would be taking them to court to cover my tens of thousands of dollars in medical bills that I now have to pay for a "simple, copay only procedure ""

"If you are expecting punctual, compassionate, & professional care PLEASE GO SOMEWHERE ELES. The staff in this office is absolutely horrible, rude, and negligent. They require you to show up 15 minutes early to appointments and then still make you wait 30 minutes past your appointment time. When asked about the wait the assistant told me “well we have a lot of patients” with and eye roll and I don’t care attitude. They do not properly document or review information in patient charts. They are absolutely disgraceful and can not be trusted with care. Multiple times I was recommended to take medication that was clearly listed as an allergy but they see you as another number and give you cookie cutter solutions. They come off as incompetent when unable to answer direct specific questions. Etiquette and bedside manner is beyond poor. No one takes accountability for mistakes but provided you with plenty of excuses or will flat out LIE. They commit insurance fraud just to retain patients. I was told “if your so unhappy here then maybe you should just find another office and don’t come to your appointment” by the office manager Lorie. Nurses forget to call you to Book an appointment to go over labs and will disclose lab and personal information over the phone with an “and oh by the way “attitude the condescend to you when you don’t understand. Pretty sure there’s a HIPAA violation in there somewhere. I was forced to continue going to this office just so that my baby could be checked on because it was hard finding another provider in network with both primary and secondary insurance. They even made retrieving my own medical records beyond difficult like I wasn’t entitled to them. It seems that even the Doctor becomes distant and careless when you express the conduct of staff and quality of care because she is so used to it. Every person I have spoken to that has been a patient has said how much they loved the doctor but the staff was horrible. The only person I can give a compliment or appreciate in that office is the ultrasound tech Leah who was always pleasant and extremely informative. I am overjoyed I do not have to step foot in that office ever again."
