"Seems like El Paso and it choice of art is so death centered that I found it repulsive and sick. Museums are meant to enlighten and stir consciousness. I left, not eager to return. The Selena collective brought back memories of such a vivacious woman...died by murder from someone from her own culture and ethnicity. Our border dynamic is filled with immigrant stories yearning to be shared...of life. Let's tell the stories via art of survivors and those who win the fight to gain access to a richer, life filled museum driven to bring more to its visitors."

"Very nice building and very clean. It was easy to get to, only a 10 minute walk from our hotel and it was free admission. The museum itself had some interesting exhibits, but overall I found it boring. It didn’t take long to walk through the whole thing. I felt it wasn’t as captivating as other art museums I’ve been to. But it is worth a visit if you are in the area."

"Unfortunately I didn't have a chance to look at the art during my visit, but I did hold an amazing event in the lobby and mezzanine areas. It was the perfect space for me to be able to create and design my reception with many different elements. Natalia was helpful, flexible and easy to work with. I would do another event there in a heartbeat, highly recommended!"

"Stunning small collections of regional contemporary art depicting the ties and separation of Juarez and El Paso. Brings in gorgeous Americana landscapes and portraiture via 20th Century greats, and looks back to the Colonial Era, Renaissance, and even Byzantine with Classical religious iconography. Lots of “wow” moments here. It’s obvious how important light is to this West Texas town, and their paintings, photographs, and sculptures shine brilliant reflections of the people and places that make up this fascinating town and it’s environs."

"Great museum that is free to visit! There is so much to look at. Definitely a great addition to the community. They have events listed inside for members of the art exhibit. The halls are wide enough that you could comfortably bring children and have them by your side without risking them knocking into anything expensive. We went over a weekend and it was not very busy."
