The Fairmount Hotel

"Where to start? We stayed two nights and fell in love with the hotel from the first night. From amazing history of the building to most comfortable bed and pillows. The antique yet modern designs and interior. Good coffee right in the room. 4th floor rooftop bar. The location of the hotel is also great. It is easily accessible to the river walk and sits right across from La Villita and very close to the Tower of the Americas."

"Oh dear God, where to start! This is one of the most beautiful hotels I think I’ve ever stayed in. I love it because it is so accessible to the Riverwalk, although it doesn’t sit right on the river, it is very close. The staff is amazing! They have a restaurant there that is so gorgeous Attached to it. The rooms are absolutely gorgeous. The room we stayed in had hardwood floors. I love that! This is a Historic building as we learned that the entire building have been physically moved from one location to where it sits now. The beds were very comfortable, love the pillows, and also love the fact that coffee was free inside of the room. Not your average coffee, above average! They had complementary chips and a fresh bottle of salsa. I loved the bathrooms with the waterfall shower. I love the fact that you receive a heavy door key for your room when you check in. The bar area is absolutely gorgeous on the first floor and there is a bar on the fourth floor rooftop, the view from the rooftop is amazing! This is just an amazing place and I will frequent this establishment often!"

"I stayed here with my boyfriend for a long weekend and it’s a fantastic hotel. The location was great; walkable to the Alamo and the Riverwalk. The room was very comfortable, I got good sleep on the bed which is very rare for me when I don’t sleep in my own bed. The only negative I experienced was the bathroom wasn’t quite wide enough to keep the door open and stand at the vanity, but that was really minor so it didn’t impact my stay at all. Staff was very attentive and helpful. Complimentary valet was definitely very convenient and a huge plus! (Just as a side note, my boyfriend and I both saw two different shadow figures in two different places in our room at different times. Not a downside in my opinion and they seemed benign, but I definitely think this hotel is haunted)"

"We stayed at The Fairmount a couple of weeks ago during a conference and could not have had a more enjoyable stay! The hotel is beautiful and the staff went out of their way to make sure we had a wonderful time. The Fairmount is super convenient to the convention center and to the river walk. Thank you guys for such a great weekend!!!"
