"If it hadn't been for the front desk staff, this would have been a 3 star review. When we checked in, the front desk staff acted as though we were bothering them. When we realized that we had a problem with our room (no cold water in the tub or the faucet) and reported this to the front desk multiple times, but each time, it seemed as if this was the first time they were hearing about the problem. Needless to say, nothing got done about the water. Eventually on the day before we left, someone at the front desk seemed interested in our problem. They sent an engineer to the room and offered to move us (would have been nice to be offered that the first time we reported the problem). The water was never fixed during our stay. The front desk staff seemed like they were lacking training and experience in dealing with problems and weren't exactly friendly or warm (which is a must in Texas). Maybe they should get lessons from Annette on customer service - she was by far the best thing about our stay. Also, please be aware that the "Deluxe corner" rooms aren't actually corner rooms and all are accessible rooms (with bathtubs and elevated sinks) regardless of what the website says. If you stay here, you should hope that nothing goes wrong."

"The rooms are very minimal and very small. The shower took so long to get warm water I just dealt with cold water. There isn't a shelf in the shower to set toiletries on. The provided liquid soaps in the shower were almost empty. Also, the room does not have a closet, but it does have a coat rack. It's not a major hassle but the ice maker is on a separate floor. It is convenient to the airport, within 15 min."

"No hot water running in the shower during our stay during winter time, with two kids. The front desk staff didn’t offer us to move us to a different hotel or any type of compensation for this critical issue. On the positive side of the stay, Chef Annette made us a wonderful breakfast, very caring and kind."

"First time staying at an Aloft. Check in was easy, the hotel has a great decor is very clean and quiet too. They have options to order food for a fee. The room was nice and clean ...they had 4 king size pillows which was nice. The best part there's a fuego next door! Would definitely stay here again"

"Great place to stay. I love the lobby with all the activities. It’s a great spot to hang out with family or friends. The staff was super helpful and welcoming. The highlight was walking into the lobby each morning. The Chef Queen herself, Ms Annette, was there to welcome you with the most joyous and positive energy followed by a big hug. The only thing better than her morning greetings was the breakfast. 10 out of 10, would recommend!"
