"I had two concerns with my fiance's K1: Timeframe and cost. During the initial interview, I asked very specific questions and was led to believe that they could help me get the process started and I could pay over time. Over a month later, I'm now being told none of the countless documents I've sent in will actually be submitted to immigration until I pay over $6,000 in full. My options are wait the year or so it'll take me to raise that kind of money, or use some third-party finance system. I'm severely disappointed with the lack of transparency to this whole system; the whole point I wanted to use a payment plan was because I couldn't afford that out-of-pocket cost, and my fiance and I are both heartsick of being apart.
