"If you haven't ever done the light the forest walk at the Cincinnati nature center I highly recommend you put it in your list of things to do. Every year for Christmas they light up a modest stretch of the trails around the Krippendorf Lodge and decorate the lodge with tree displays offering a chance to warm up mid walk. They offered a coffee and hot chocolate truck right outside the lodge this year which was a great addition. The nature center building also hosts a shop with ornaments and decorations very responsible priced. The walk will take about 60 to 90 minutes at a medium pace with stops along the way to enjoy the light displays as well as the lodge and admin building. Bathrooms are provided at both the lodge and nature center building as well as right next to the play scape parking lot. Walking path is adequate for a stroller if needed, provided it hasn't snowed too much. Parking had never been an issue as they have several lots and plenty of staff directing both foot and vehicle traffic. I also recommend getting a membership for access to the trails year round. Plenty of variety and levels of difficulty on well maintained paths. Loads of educational programs for the kids available too."
