"You’re basically a drug test and a prescription monthly. And even though you’re taking your medicine correctly, if it doesn’t show on their test, they threaten you through the mail with termination, but never bring up the issue in person. I know well and good it was in my system. (There’s also another reviewer on here who had the same problem.). Performed their test even when I was on painful periods with heavy bleeding. Had the correct count every month—God forbid I didn’t. And really, since the prescription says “as needed” system detection should not ever been an issue for their patients. If there was a pharmacy closure (which was often—they wouldn’t authorize pick up at another location—often times for 3 days). No returning calls—getting my first appointment required my doctor having to call them after many failed attempts. Horrible patient care!!! But it was close to my job, so I continued to endure the obsessive measures. And their little “not detected” termination letter hopefully leads me to a more attentive provider."

"ANGIE URHAMMER is the most amazing caring physician on the planet. She genuinely cares for her patients and goes above and beyond to help keep my pain under control. I work 60 hours a week and would not be able to function if not for her. She keeps me up and running so I can provide for my family and earn a living. She honestly is my hero, my life would be unbearable and I would literally be paralyzed with pain. Her treatment plan has allowed me to return to work after a long downtime. She follows all guidelines and doesn't throw opiates down your throat. Until you have experienced catastrophic injury or debilitating pain, nobody can understand the vital role these particular physicians play."

"I was the driver for my mom who was having an injection and being sedated. The waiting room was full. I was told I had to wait on her in the waiting room or she couldn’t have sedation. I am a nurse also and told them with COVID I did not feel comfortable and would wait in the car. When she is done text me and I will be right up. They said no but I could wait in the hallway. People in the hallway did not have masks on at all so I explained that wouldn’t work either. They still refused to text and refused to give her sedation since I did not want to wait and potentially be exposed to COVID. I have never heard of a policy like this. Common sense says the less people in the waiting room the less risk. My mom waited for 90 min past her appt time in that waiting room before taken back. She states during that time no one came out to sanitize chairs or anything. This was the Carrollton office."

"I have read the reviews and as of yet I completely disagree. First, I must say, Dr. Haque not only read my records but knew more about my condition than any previous Dr. I was amazed by his concern and knowledge. Unfortunately, pain management has changed in the last few years. It used to be that anyone with a minor complaint could be seen and receive pain meds. This clinic cannot control what the FDA has done, the new laws and requirements. They are under great pressure to maintain strict records and must have rules in place to ensure that they will not be shut down, to say it plain and clear. So, I have a real problem with my spine and a disease in my spine so I have not been treated badly by anyone and hopefully never will. People need to realize that they should write their congressman. The American Pain Institute has no control over the rules and regulations that the FDA is continuing to impose."

"I never met the doctor. They had called day before because doc had an emergency. Okay, I understand, but before I could open my mouth at all the receptionist took an accusing tone because they had left a voicemail the day prior informing me of a need to reschedule and I hadn't returned the call. I had assumed it was just a reminder message since I got it the day before and didn't check my voicemail. I wasn't even upset until she took that tone with me. Should've known it would be bad because when I signed in at the window she *actively* ignored me. Like purposefully avaided looking in my direction. I guess since they're located caddy-corner to the L&N Building, they think they should have the same attitude as the clerks over there. I won't be back. A receptionist is the face of your practice and if you choose her as a representative, I don't trust your judgment and I don't want you touching my back."
