"The horror stories have run me from this school and I just finished getting all my information gathered for acceptance! I’ve heard a women gave birth and had to leave the hospital right after as the instructor was going to give a zero on exams because they are no make ups exams! I understand preparing for real world nursing but real world nursing is more understandable and reasonable than this. People can’t predict unforeseen circumstances like a blown tire and yes you can Uber respectfully but this can’t all be done and still be on time while getting AAA to your vehicle. There are things you can’t control and I hear they don’t care and will drop you from the program without a second thought! Nursing is about compassion and how do you lead and instruct with these core values?"

"I would not recommend this school to anyone. In my opinion all they want is money. They do not help their students succeed, but instead fail them by .4% and make them pay and take the class over. They do not show you what you miss on tests, so how are students supposed to understand what they missed. This is a fend for yourself school and if you struggle, oh well type of mentality. Then if you want to transfer out to another nursing program or change programs within the school, none of the nursing classes transfer so you have to start all over. Galen has made my son not want to be a nurse anymore, so better Galen!"

"I love the Galen nursing school concept when all classes recommended are planned out for you, and theres no prerequisites. But be careful if you work full-time days, because you will get to a point where the only classes offered are day classes. Most folks can't quit their jobs or change the time of your work days. And because there is no counseling or advisor there is no one there to guide you or give you heads up on up and coming semester. A lot of the classes say TBD WHICH DOSENT GIVE YOU TIME OR DAY. Ask questions before you spend your money."

"If I could give zero stars I would. Communication is non existent. Never in my school life have I had so many financial aid advisors that switch out. When trying to find contact info it’s no where to be found. Financial aid department is a total disaster. Now, the ones that have communicated with me ( different staff) this is not directed towards them in any way. My dream of becoming a nurse is just out the window now. There’s only so many years you can try and still haven’t made it. Some people push on but also changing your major doesn’t mean you have given up. I’m in my 3rd quarter with 1 quarter left and I’m dropping out. It’s super expensive they offer little to no help. I regret ever coming here honestly."
