About the Business
Austin Child Guidance Center, located at 810 West 45th Street in Austin, Texas, is a nonprofit institution dedicated to providing accessible, high-quality mental health services to children and their families. Our services include Individual and Family Therapy, Group Therapy, Psychological Assessments, Psychiatric Services, Caregiver Workshops, and a Walk-In Clinic. We offer services in English and Spanish, both in-person and via tele-therapy. Our sliding fee scale ensures that cost is not a barrier to receiving care, and our team of licensed therapists, social workers, psychologists, and psychiatrists are committed to providing evidence-based treatment to all families, regardless of ability to pay. With a focus on empowering children to thrive in childhood and beyond, Austin Child Guidance Center has been serving Central Texas since 1951. Hours of operation are Monday to Thursday from 9:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., and Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. We are closed on weekends. They claim they are all about support and assistance to families but all they do is assume after ONE visit and then call CPS claiming they are a danger to others when all my son has is ADHD!! I will never get my child help here again!"

"Well yes it's awesome. But the receptionist has to GO. She seems as if she wants the children's attention or the people who walk in. It was in June when I first saw her. First she answers the phone sooooo loud. But what horrified me more is that how do they allow her to be in some shorts that hangs her butt cheeks. And showing her cleavage. I understand it's hot in summer. But your not working outside. And can dress more descent with light clothes. So I come back in January. OMG. Now she has a nose ring in the middle of her nose. As if a bugger is hanging out. That is disgusting. This is a place where we bring our children. And she should be respectful to that environment. I have no issue of the nose ring. Its just not the place."
